Instead of coming out and building on the lead we had, we had to come out and start fighting back again, like we had been doing in most of this series, ... We're not used to doing that and it takes a lot to do that, especially when they're still trying to force it down your throat. It was a bit of a surprise, but we handled it well and we were still in it. We got within one (57-56 with 2:57 left), but it was a game right until the end. |
It has implications for guys we have on the wing and we're faced with what kind of tangible element we want to add for the 12th, 13th, 14th forward. We'll be choosing between power-play help, toughness and physical help, so there's a lot on the line for two or three players. We see him right now as a very viable option for us in terms of helping us 5 on 4, 4 on 3 and 5 on 3 and those are going to be significant minutes in today's game. |
It was certainly a lot better than last Saturday's performance and maybe the lads have recovered their self belief. I've made it clear however that there's no point in us raising our game against Rangers and Celtic if we can't produce results against the teams in the lower part of the league. I know its going to be a roller-coaster ride for the rest of the season - there will be plenty ups and downs but I'm enjoying every minute of it. |
It was said without full knowledge. We have spent time with him [Ellison] since, to talk about the SOA framework and he has more insight into what it is. We have been able to settle comments [about] how the architecture is not quite right. He said Siebel's architecture is compatible with the Fusion direction. He will be more specific about the role it will play. He [Ellison] has a better handle on what Nexus is today than at OpenWorld. |
It's clearly an accident, but the fact that the White House didn't release this information, that it sat around for almost a day is, in itself, bizarre. Late-night comics are going to be all over it. You know, these things ? fairly or unfairly ? tend to become a metaphor for a presidency and don't be surprised if you see lots of jokes about the vice president was trigger happy, or he might have had better aim if he'd served in Vietnam. |
It's just doing it. Taking care of it. Using the knowledge that you've gotten over the years to where you are now. That's what is going to continue you through your baseball career. That's how guys win jobs. That's how guys make big contracts. That's playing the game. For me, it's not about doing anything different than you have in the past. It's about playing the game, realizing what's going on. Doing it. Taking care of it. Executing. |
It's not that I really want him dead, but … I ran into him in a parking garage when I was doing some morning radio show. He walked right up to me and I swear, I could not take my eyes off his eyebrows, they were waxed like a girl's. He was like, `You don't really hate me, right?' And I was like, `Yes, Ryan, I really hate you.' And he was fine with that as long as it gave me good material for my act. I said, `Ryan, you have no idea.'- |
It's time to start thinking of parents and families as community builders and not just as service recipients. While the craniofacial community may be small by comparison to other health issue communities like heart disease or cancer or diabetes, we are nonetheless a community. Don’t underestimate individuals with facial differences or their parents – what they have learned in their lives can be put to meaningful use to help others. |

Maybe Russia doesn't have such rich stores of reserve like before, but hope does not die. Russian skating will survive and thrive. What the West does not understand is that you don't need so much 'talented skaters' as you need smart coaches. A smart coach can find a good athlete and make him great. In America, there are millions of talented athletes, but still they don't win top medals because they don't know how to make the champions. |
Most of the complexity of the stories has developed as the stories came along (and may be a product of the principle that "nothing is what it seems"). I did start with some essential ambiguousness in the aliens' motivation and the questions this raises in human minds, which I consider to have been disregarded in Contact (novel and film). That, in part, may be what has delayed the writing of the fifth and sixth novelettes in the series. |
No we don't miss K.J., ... Nothing against him, but we don't miss him on the field. I miss him as a person, but I promise you we won't miss him on the field. A lot of people made a big deal out of it. It wasn't that big a deal at all. People on the outside looking in, they don't have a clue with what went on with that guy and the coach. I'm not going into it. He's not here. He's not a Brown. We have a team that can play. Let's move on. |
Nobody here has taken him and put him in a chair and tried to get him wound up so tight that he can't perform by breaking down his mechanics, ... We've kept things as simple as possible for a young left-handed pitcher to go out there and perform. I really believe that, at this point and time in the season, this is one of the more challenging things that's happened to him in his career. This'll be a good barometer of who and what he is. |
