 I really hope people come out and support their local schools. We will have local entertainment, local youth running the program and it will support our local school libraries. It would be great to see a lot of people in here Monday night. Just come on and have a good time.

 This event has been great for the local economy. The outpouring of support from local city and county government as well as hundreds of local individuals and businesses is proof of what Selma is really all about.

 Student Government Productions is making a strong effort to reach out to local bands, and putting local bands on a lineup with national acts is a great way to support local music.

 I really feel once they try it, they'll do it a lot more. We've done both, and we supported the local leagues. It is a good program, and it's good for local boys to play together. But I also support tournament ball. It's a good experience, and it's the next level.

 We will be employing 28 people at the plant. All of these should be local people. But over the 12-month period we should be affecting the local economy. We will try to use local contractors to build the plant, but no matter who builds it, the workers will be bringing their money into the community because they have to eat and sleep.  Three years of reduced funding of public libraries have taken a toll. We agree that local municipal funding is our weakest area, but only state incentives can improve local support in a long-term, consistent manner.

 We just decided if we could just get some local talent and local people to donate their time and effort and see if we could get one going here and just have a fun night and try and raise some money for the troops.

 So we provide more local information to better serve victims of crime. We have local people making local decisions for local victims of crime — not people up in Phoenix.

 Our issue is local control, local government by local elected people.

 I think it's true, we have to watch what we're doing. I think if we start out to make what we're trying to do work locally, using local farmers, local people, local control, not going outside and importing a lot of things - everything we need, grow it in the area and be self-sustaining - I think we can probably keep that from happening to a certain degree.
