We cannot allow the gezegde

 Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. We cannot allow the U.S. Constitution and our rights to become a victim of terrorism.

 We should stand shoulder to shoulder with the president in our desire to fight terrorism in this country and around the world, but we cannot allow the Constitution and our rights to become victim to our fight against terrorism.

 We know no document is perfect, but when we amend the Constitution, it would be to expand rights, not to take away rights from decent, loyal Americans. This great Constitution of ours should never be used to make a group of Americans permanent second-class citizens.

 We condemn all acts of terrorism. We are against terrorism because we ourselves have been victim of terrorism.

 Bush was desperate to keep the Times from running this important story - which the paper had already inexplicably held for a year - because he knew that it would reveal him as a law-breaker. He insists he had 'legal authority derived from the Constitution and congressional resolution authorizing force.' But the Constitution explicitly requires the president to obey the law. And the post 9/11 congressional resolution authorizing 'all necessary force' in fighting terrorism was made in clear reference to military intervention. It did not scrap the Constitution and allow the president to do whatever he pleased in any area in the name of fighting terrorism.

 Rights! There are no rights whatever without corresponding duties. Look at the history of the growth of our constitution, and you will see that our ancestors never upon any occasion stated, as a ground for claiming any of their privileges, an abstract right inherent in themselves; you will nowhere in our parliamentary records find the miserable sophism of the Rights of Man.

 The Ninth Amendment makes it clear that all the rights spelled out in the Constitution aren't the end of rights as we know them. It makes it clear that there are rights reserved to people that aren't spelled out in the Constitution.

 When I read this that was a question I raised. I do think that it goes against the Bill of Rights in the Constitution and rights of the public to be informed.

 They want to take this to the ultimate extreme. If we go by the history of amendments to the Constitution in this country, it's only ever been done to give more rights to people, not to take rights away. That's why this is particularly heinous.

 It's fine if they read passages from the Constitution, the history of the country, biographies of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson--who the English, back in the era of the American revolution, accused of terrorism. But then these children who are willing to practice these same precepts and theories can be reprimanded for actually living the Constitution.

 Another reason for starting at Constitution Hill is because of the impending same-sex marriage case being heard at the court and because of its link to the South African constitution, the first in the world to enshrine the right to sexual orientation in its Bill of Rights.

 The United States presents itself as a leader against terrorism, invades countries, restricts the civil rights of Americans in order to fight terrorism, but when it is about its own terrorists, it denies that they be tried.

 The power to impeach a president should not be casually used to remove a president and overturn an election simply because we don't like him or his policies. The constitution is on trial, and we hope that we will uphold the constitution and the civil rights of everybody involved.

 We would best honor Chief Justice Rehnquist’s memory and legacy by getting back to his project of restoring constitutionalism. That means enforcing the limits on government that are clearly in the Constitution and not making up and enforcing rights that are not in the Constitution.

 Terrorism doesn't just blow up buildings; it blasts every other issue off the political map. The spectre of terrorism - real and exaggerated - has become a shield of impunity, protecting governments around the world from scrutiny for their human rights abuses.
