 (Music) is one of the things that always gets cut when schools face (financial) difficulties. When I was in school, we had instruments and uniforms and we had great budgets and we took trips and now it's wham! Everything is gone.

 In a time when education budgets are increasingly tighter than ever, every dollar counts when it comes to school funding. This is especially true for unrestricted funds in which schools can decide for themselves how to use the money -- whether it's for teacher training, special field trips, school supplies, playground equipment, musical instruments and more. We've found that every school has a wish list, and we want to help them fill it.

 There's huge financial pressures on schools from all directions so having to pay additional fees is going to put a strain on school budgets.

 Obviously, it's for the musicians, to get the bands back together and play some music, because a lot of these guys don't play anymore. But, our main thing, one of the constant things, is that we give band instruments to the high school and middle schools (of north central Wisconsin). That's the really big thing that we do.

 It's music to inspire children to feel the music, in melody and in rhythm. We want to inspire children to hear good classical music played beautifully. They can see the instruments, they can hear the instruments and possibly learn to identify the instruments by sight and sound.

 A lot of schools are looking at open source ? budgets come into play here. Microsoft licensing takes a big chunk out of schools budgets. The biggest issue is cost, basically.

 Ted, since he owns the music store, has just an army of instrument. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. It's great to see all these fantastic instruments. Most of us will drag in two, three or four different instruments throughout the night.

 The decision was made not to pursue school uniforms but to further clarify our current policy. They felt that, from research, uniforms were not appropriate for our school district.

 I think if the ruling had gone the other way, then it would have been a precedent, which would have created many difficulties for schools that wanted to have a school uniform. As it is, I think, what's happened is that it's really preserved the status quo -- that if a pupil is not wearing the proper school uniform, then it is perfectly right for the school to take disciplinary action.

 This spring he gave us two sets of uniforms, both home and away. We're one of only two high schools in the country with Under Armour uniforms. It was totally awesome.

 When a school gets too small, it's very, very difficult to keep things such as sports teams going and to offer music programs. I think the children will have a lot more available to them at the other schools.

 There are school budgets that are being voted down around New Jersey even though they're efficient budgets, they're good budgets, because people can't see straight regarding property taxes. It has become such a burden that the way education funding has played its way out in the state as a result of the various Abbott decisions that we've got a real crisis on our hands.

 I've... used a very conservative approach. You only hear my own voice, a slight choral accompaniment and drums. Let's say that's the safest option according to certain Islamic schools of thought. I've made minimal use of musical instruments, and in some schools of thought in Islam musical instruments are disapproved of.

 His Little League teams had $35, $40 uniforms when I was buying $18 uniforms for my high school team. It all came out of his pocket. There was no passing the hat.

 We're looking more at curbing some of the field trips, and schools that had scheduled trips, we are asking them to postpone them.
