 This agency (USDA) is bending over backwards to accommodate an industry that Congress and the American people want shut down. There is far too much concern about perpetuating horse slaughter on the part of USDA.

 His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing.

 There is a growing frustration among the public and members of Congress with this blatant disregard for a law overwhelmingly passed by the Congress and signed into law by the President. The U.S. Congress clearly responded to the American public's demand for an end to slaughter and the USDA is choosing to violate this act to shelter three foreign-owned slaughterhouses.

 Ours simply complements what USDA has done. I think what USDA is doing is great, but the private sector needs to step up and help USDA spread its message.

 If USDA wants to improve its computer systems, I'm all for it, ... But they shouldn't try to pay for those upgrades by closing the FSA offices our farmers depend on. It never made sense to me that the way to save money was to force farmers and ranchers to drive farther or go online to get their questions answered. I had serious reservations about this plan, as did many members of Congress. I'm glad USDA listened to those concerns and has decided to scrap this plan.

 I hope that the next time the USDA brings this up they take into account the American farmer and actually consult with Congress.

 I was keen on sports-that's how my nose got this way. It's not actually broken; the nose was just pushed up a little bit and moved over. It's an aquiline nose, quite Irish.

 We're pleased that they (USDA inspectors) did go out there but still feel cautious about this situation because the regulations that the USDA enforces are minimum, and I emphasize minimum.

 I am very concerned about the actions of USDA to close beef processing plants in Montana. The timing of this action is disturbing. We hope USDA is not taking this action in retribution for MCA, R-CALF USA and Governor Schweitzer's recent actions to protect the Montana cow herd from Canadian bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Governor Schweitzer purchased a 4-H pig during the Lewis and Clark County Fair, and that carcass is hanging at the Butte plant targeted for closure by USDA.
