 I don't think we got organized. With them playing three up top, we hadn't played against that yet this year and we took a while to get sorted out to make sure we weren't one against one in the back all the time.

 I am shocked we weren't in the game the last three or four minutes. Because we hadn't played a game the entire year where we weren't in it down the stretch.

 It was a gradual move towards getting back in shape again. He [Peart] hadn't played drums for a long time and he needed the time to just build up his chops again. And for us, Geddy and I hadn't worked writing together in a while and because we'd been doing such diverse things we needed some time to get used to each other again.

 You could tell we hadn't played in a week and we've had a hard time playing on that floor anyway. It was good to go over there and get a win and get the heck out of there. I think that might be the lowest point total we've held anybody to all year long.

 We're trying to work big Jake on the inside. He just needs playing time. Where he's come from (Unity Christian School) he hasn't played much organized basketball so he's come leaps and bounds with us this year. If nothing more, his conditioning has improved tremendously. He's come a long way.

 I hadn't really played in a year-and-a-half, so it was good to get out there and get back in the flow. I'm still a little bit rusty and I'm not thinking the right things in the right situations. But that's what happens when you have a long time off.

 That was something they hadn't shown before. By the time we got it sorted, they had a couple of scores.

 He carried a pe𝗑y air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure. I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up.

 It won't come down to the last tournament this time. I want to be there and I'd love to have it sorted by the end of year. The tournaments are big enough now where if you do play well enough you can make a massive dent in it. There were three or four of us last year jostling for spots in the Ryder Cup, and that's not a nice position to be in.

 We talk about it all the time. We want to make it back this year because we feel like we've played bigger roles on this team than that last one [in the Final Four], especially me. It would be nice to make it back.

 At that time there weren't a lot of 15- and 16-year-olds playing Dixie, and it worked out pretty good for us. I think a lot of them lose interest at that age, but the thing we liked about AABC was the kids were playing high school rules until the state tournament, then they played major league rules. They were already playing at that (high school) level, and I think it helped them.

 We weren't in it to beat the other team by 40 or 50 points. Some of the younger kids hadn't played as much now that district has started, so we wanted to make sure they got in the game to help out.

 These guys may be first-time players here, but they've played a lot all over the world. They come off the NIKE Tour and the European Tour, and they're tough. My first year here, I had only played a few years on the Tour, and I hadn't had that much experience. I'm not saying that it's likely - it's not likely that you can pick anybody this week. There are some guys playing well coming in, but it's hard to pick.''

 The first day here, it was fun to meet the guys again. Some of them I hadn't met in a year and a half. It's really fun to be back, and I think everyone is excited to get back to playing hockey again.

 It was one of the best games I've seen this year. We're playing five freshmen, and our inexperience is going to show up from time to time. I'm not trying to make excuses ---- we played well with what we had and stayed with them.
