 We have enjoyed serving Bradford County and will continue to do so. We have been warmly welcomed by so many community members and groups like the school board that we believe there is nothing but good things to come for the Bradford County YMCA.

 At the county or provincial level, for example, there must be at least one female deputy county director or deputy governor.

 Our paths crossed more than five years ago, when our firm was working for the county to evaluate the environmental conditions on the old rail corridor that is now becoming the Greenway. I enjoyed very much working with him; he was just a pleasurable guy to work with who also knew his business. And what I also really enjoyed was that he had a great imagination. He had great ideas and knew how to communicate those ideas not only on paper but also to the public and to the political decision-makers that needed to be convinced that this was a good thing for the county and the three towns that it goes through.

 He was an absolute great guy, ... He knew the people in the county. He knew the civil process book. He knew the law. He was very, very good at it. He knew more people than any other deputy I had in the county.

 In order to ensure there was no question about making sure the obligations of the office were fulfilled, he executed a letter on Sept. 19 confirming (Hayes') appointment as chief deputy coroner of Caddo Parish. There's no election required. The Caddo Commission can call an election, or they can allow the chief deputy to carry out the function until the next scheduled election.

 Scott did a fantastic job for the team today, obviously. We have the car in a good position, knowing that the balance is pretty much right between Scott's driving style and mine.

 I'd understand if he would just be here for Scott. Some guys don't need a guard. Some need a forward who can jump like Scott. Some teams don't need some types of players. I understand this is a business, and they have a job to do.

 Some people don't understand what our team is all about. We're more for assistance for the coroner who can't handle the amount of deaths,

 (Anne Arundel County athletics supervisor) Marlene Kelly needs to revaluate some of the referees in this county. Not all of them are bad but there are some bad apples that hold grudges against certain schools. It was pretty bad for both sides and you could tell they didn't have control of the game. They let it get away from them.

 We understand from the county this was a difficult decision to make. After reviewing their policies and procedures, we were able to determine that they followed everything correctly. There is no action we at this level can take to overturn their decision.

 I have been fortunate to have good employees. I also enjoyed my job coming to work and seeing different people from all parts of Lawrence County. Being able to help people was a great satisfaction, but now I am ready to enjoy my retirement.
