 I fully expected two more hard days of cricket, but I said before the match that it needed a couple of magical performances and, thankfully for us, Steve produced one today.

 They've been playing a level of cricket which makes you hard because Australia push you to the limit. South Africa had some good performances in isolation, but they needed a bit more.

 We've been learning throughout the Test match and understanding a bit more about how people play their cricket, ... Obviously, Steve and I know the best way for each other to perform, but the other lads are a bit of a mix and match.

 We expected to win today. We expected to win the whole last week. When we really needed the runs, they were hard to come by.

 The consequences of things are not always proportionate to the apparent magnitude of those events that have produced them. Thus the American Revolution, from which little was expected, produced much; but the French Revolution, from which much was expected, produced little.

 Grant is a good wrestler and Steve had to work for that one. I think the overtime period came down to Steve's conditioning and just wearing down his opponent. When Steve is in a close match, I don't worry too much about him. Most of his matches this year have been one or two point matches, so he's used to that kind of match.

 Steve had a nice last game for his career; he competed hard in the low post. We needed a couple of other guys to step up. We just didn't have enough weapons tonight.

 We're certainly under pressure again. England have played consistent cricket for two days in this match and have certainly played more consistent cricket than us in the series. That sees us in another challenging position that we'll have to sit down and think about it.

 The cricket hasn't knocked horseracing off the top as leading sport in terms of total betting turnover, but on days when the cricket has been on everything else has taken a back seat. There's been an enormous amount of interest during any given Test. There's massive trading of positions all day. People have their computers on next to their televisions. They bet literally hundreds of times in the course of a match.

 As far as everything working right, some days we have played better defense and some days we have played better offense, but today was one of those magical days where everything just seemed to go right for us. The shots went in, the free throws went in and we defended well.

 The amount of cricket being played these days is too hectic for me and I felt playing both forms was affecting my performances. Doing well in the World Cup and helping my team win is my main priority now.

 Today was one of those magical days where everything went right for us.

 I know for a fact we haven't played better than this in two years than we did today against a real, real, real good team. Some days we have played better defense, some days we have played better offense, but today was one of those magical days where everything just seemed to go right for us.

 The club did not return to the Premiership just to make up the numbers and whilst we fully expected it to be a tough first season back, none of us expected to be in the position we are today.

 Henry Melton made some really good, physical runs today and has a couple of other days as well. It will be a hard decision to see how much he plays defense compared to offense because we liked the way he looked (on offense). He's in better shape. He's running with lower pads. He made a couple of really key runs today.
