 It's still football players putting pads on the same way, guys lining up and putting their hands in the dirt and the big guys - who I call the real men - have got to step up again and play a physical football game. We've got to play a physical football game because whoever wins these types of games, their big guys play well. Point blank.

 As a football team, we're not looking for any handouts, ... We know it's going to be difficult, we know it's going to be hard. We're going to be fine and we're not going to use this as a crutch and say, 'Feel sorry for us and let us win this football game.' We're going to remain true to ourselves, stay as one as a football team.

 That's a tough situation to be in. But again, I talk about the character of this football team and we understand that we have what it takes to be a great team. We just didn't get it done the first three weeks. I feel like now is our time. I think across the board, man for man, it's finally sunk in to the guys. I think they will show up on Sunday.

 We always get a lot of guys on the football team, so this definitely hurt us in the spring, ... She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. We had to struggle to get three [new members] but now we have had 30 rushes and 21 of them are sophomore football guys. I don't think it has really deferred anyone who was going to rush last year, they just waited a semester.

 Like coach said, we're not playing well right now, but we're getting better and we're going to keep fighting. Football's a rough game. It's a tough game. Things don't always go your way. It's a test of manhood to see what kind of guys we have on this football team.

 Beasley is a great football player. He's intelligent and knows what it takes to win a football game. We were up against a good football team that was well-coached. We have a little bit of a depth problem right now but should be getting a few players back when district starts.

 Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

 He can play the game of football. There are some guys who are just fast, but are maybe not football players. Derrick Williams is a football player. He's out there having fun.

 He's still playing hesitation football and he's not sure of what he's doing, ... That's where everybody is different. Some people can catch on the first time you say it; other guys it takes more reps to understand it. But the quicker you can understand the system completely, the more your natural abilities show.

 I understand football character. Guys who love football and want to be a champion. I've been around that, so I know what to look for.

 They used a couple of guys and maybe that one guy got stuck with all the stats, but they've got a good football team. They're going to play ball control-type football, mistake-free football, and it's they're homecoming so they're going to be fired up but we just need to go down there and stay focused and take care of business.

 When you look at the two teams, (the Patriots) have been in more situations like this and they are more experienced than we are. They are a very veteran and smart team, and that's our goal, to get there. What I have to do is get our guys to believe they can be there. I believe we're going to be a better football team at the end of the year than we are right now because each game our young guys get better.
