It's still going to gezegde

 It's still going to be my goal to be able to make the cut, to be able to compete in the PGA events and to one day play in the Masters.

 That's my goal for the end of the year, to compete in the Masters in L.A..

 One challenge is having an arena be part of a casino project and expecting events. Colleges can't play at two beautiful venues, the MGM Grand Garden and Mandalay Bay Events Center (because of the casino connections). Having another one of these will compete with them for events.

 I think there will be some other teams coming here that we can compete really well against. Our goal was to compete in at least four games. We won two, and we got to play those two teams again, so I think we can achieve that goal. And the way the girls are, I'm sure they'll want to go beyond that expectation.

 I always enjoyed La Costa. I had some great times there. It was kind of funny, because La Costa sat right on the heels of the Masters and I'd say to my wife, 'I really don't want to go out and play this week; I'm tired.' And Barbara would say, 'You get out of this house and get out there and play.' And she'd kick me out and make me go out there, and rightfully so, because I always had good preparation for the Masters and it carried over many times into the Tournament of Champions.

 They beat us solidly. We just tried to compete. We'd like to crank out a hit. Our goal is to improve steadily. Today we made the same mistakes that we normally make, but it didn't cause us to give up. We continued to compete and I thought we continued to make improvements. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. They beat us solidly. We just tried to compete. We'd like to crank out a hit. Our goal is to improve steadily.  At the Masters Series events, you have to win six matches and you play the very best guys. But once you can beat Roddick and Hewitt, there's no reason why you can't do it. It's another level for Andy but not a massive step.

 There are only two events at Pipe right now, this and the Pipe Masters, and it's one of the best waves in the world. So even though this one doesn't get as much press as the Pipe Masters, it's still just as big in a lot of our eyes. We all know what it takes to surf at Pipe.

 It was a long journey from New York so I'm pleased to do enough to win. The goal now is to make sure I can qualify for the Masters Cup in Shanghai.

 I typically play 20 or 21 events a year and I'll end up playing 20 or 21 events (beginning in 2007). Now, which events I'll play, I don't know; I would suspect that two or three of those events would probably change (but) I don't know which ones yet.

 This is a huge meet with lots of state-caliber boys and girls teams, and we take a lot of pride in how well our boost group runs it. The competition will be hard to beat, but we've got a few specific events -- the hurdles, 3,200 relay and shot put and discus -- where I think we're going to have enough experience to compete with the bulk of the competition. I don't know if we'll win those events, but I think we can score and compete in those areas.

 This is what I want to do. I think that what I want to do is most important. My goal is definitely to win in the L.P.G.A., win a major. My goal is definitely to make the cut and to compete out here.

 [The Official Masters Golf Ball -- fact or fantasy?] There is only one place in the game that could take that position, and that would be Augusta, ... The only tournament that could get away with saying: 'Hey, do you want to come play in the Masters? Here's the ball, go play with it.' Do I think that's the right way? Probably not. Do I think it's possible? Probably so.
