That's the way we've played all year. Some teams will go all out to stop Devan, using a box-and-one or diamond-and-one defenses to take him out of the game, but that usually leaves an opening elsewhere and we've always had others step up.

Eric (Hicks) has 11 (rebounds), Cedric (McGowan) has 14, and with James out, we need to get the from somewhere. The other team gets them, we've got to fight them and gain position, that's where Devan did a better job.

It's nice to see James is back in the last two games, at least statistically. Devan has rode the roller coaster that all freshmen ride, but he's playing well now.

Devan Downey, his ability to penetrate is pretty special for a young kid. Not only did he score efficiently, when he needed to he got the ball to open people.

Between Cedric, Eric, James and Devan, we have to have a pretty good performance out of, if not all of them, the majority of them, and it just didn't happen across the board. It snowballed, and then you get out of character and before you know it, you look up and you get what you deserve.

(Devan) told me that they've been talking. I don't know the extent of the conversations, but he's been talking to coach Kennedy. They have a great relationship.

That was a heady play, Devan had him in transition and he attacked him, it was smart. He was going to try to drive it through him, the kid was back- pedaling and it's hard to get stationary. It was a huge play, really.

Freddy is going to have options. He's going to have options now and he's going to have options down the line, but Freddy will remain a DC United player for this season, in 2006.

We gave them options, and they played the options they way we wanted to.

Other teams have called but he's not going anywhere right now. He's always wanted to stay in Toronto (where his family lives) and he's considering his options. He'll decide at the end of the weekend what he'll do.
