 We're going to play different guys on him. He's a major part of their offense.

 We're not counting us out. I know a lot of people will with [Mark] Prior and [Kerry] Wood on the shelf and now a major part of our offense out, but I think we have enough guys to keep them at bay until those guys come back.

 They (Phantoms) played hard and well. Our guys continued to play hard into the fourth quarter. This year, we have had as many as 10 guys score in different categories. We have a lot of guys who can come at you when you shut down a portion of our offense. We have other guys who can score. That has been part of our success so far this season. When we put things together, we do well.

 I think Ron plays a major role in the way we run our offense. He's like the engine that pushes us, so with him sick, that kind of brings us down. I think that had a major part in the way we played.

 We're going to do our best to maintain possession of the football. It doesn't mean just running the ball, but being efficient in our passing game and play a little keep away. That is part of our plan. But when push comes to shove, we need to play defense against a very good offense, and our guys are ready to do that.

 One of the major things for us was we were playing a 5-1 offense. We normally play a 4-2 offense. That changed the complexion of the game.

 Some guys in the lower part of the order got a hit. When those guys get involved in the offense, it really helps. The guys at the top have been swinging it well, and you get production out of the bottom guys that makes it all that much better.

 I anticipate doing the same thing. You do (want to play them more), but you also understand the big picture. For the most part, what we have to do is we have to have a good practice session this week. I think it's very, very important to get some continuity going with our offense. It really just boils down to what we're going to become on offense and play to our strengths. That's the whole key between now and when we open up at Kansas City.

 We have plenty of guys on offense who can play, we just need to find 11 who can do it together. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness. I'm not sure they were on the field enough last week to know how they fit together. James Johnson ran 65 yards on a counter for the first play of the drive, so what can I say? I can't get mad at my offense for scoring too quickly.

 J.P., part of bringing him over was because I thought he was a good catcher defensively also. He does not have the strongest throwing arm in baseball. But he throws well enough. The other part of his game was really good. And I thought his offense was better than what people were giving him credit for. ... Those two guys together, I think they compliment each other. I think they're good for each other. So they're both going to play a lot.

 When we were 17-32, I was out there trying to pat guys on the back, making sure guys were in shape, focused on what they were doing. That's what my job does. Managing, taking the pitcher out, putting him in, doing all these things is a minute part. ... Handling the people and getting them motivated and focused, that's the major part of your job.

 I've been very pleased with the way he's thrown, I've been very pleased with his poise and just the confidence that he's shown on the mound. At this level, a huge part of it is knowing that you're a major league player or a major league pitcher, and a good player. I think he knows that. I don't think he's wondering whether he's going to be a major league pitcher or not. That's huge for some guys. Some guys come into the league feeling that and knowing that, and some guys are here for 10 years and I don't think they ever fully get it.

 Brent gets us going. He's a major part of the offense and defense.

 There's confidence in both guys. Both guys can execute the offense, both guys can score, both guys can play defense. So it really doesn't matter to us.

 We get the type of quarterbacks we get here because we allow them to be a major part of the offense. We don't want robots.
