 It's an honor to be recognized by your peers for your hard work and accomplishments, but it all boils down to the players buying into what you want them to do. You can know all the basketball in the world, but if your team can't commit to play hard and play together, then all that basketball doesn't mean much.

 Oh, this is basketball, baby. I look at them, I tell them 'This is basketball. This is what you've been doing all of your life. ... This is what you love to do. So go out there, play basketball, play hard and have fun.' These guys work hard, believe in each other and they're great teammates.

 They play hard. They're not the best basketball players in the world, but they're not afraid to work hard.

 It a privilege and an honor to be invited with so many great players around the country right now. We have all put in a lot of hard work and to be recognized by USA Softball is special. I was not expecting this, but the opportunity to play with Desiree one more time after my college career. The chance to play with her again this summer in Taiwan at the World University Games would be incredible.

 It's a good honor for our kids to be recognized for these accomplishments. It's just another way of showing how hard work pays off. They're reaping the benefits of hard work.

 Thirteen million (dollars) to sit down and watch basketball? To work out on your own? I mean, knowing that I could have helped that team? That team is just trying to get into the playoffs. It wasn't my decision. I wanted to play basketball. They didn't want me to play basketball.

 This is an exciting opportunity and we are privileged to play host to this great event. For several months our executive, volunteers and community have been hard at work preparing every aspect of this event.  Two trademarks I'd like for people to say about our basketball team are that they play hard and with intelligence and they take care of the basketball.

 When it comes to basketball, it's not that hard. You gotta go out and play like you gotta play and listen to the coaching staff. You just have to go out and play hard, and we call that Spartan basketball.

 With seven new players, we're never going to have an experienced lineup. This is who we are. We're a very young and inexperienced basketball team. But they're willing to play hard.  It was an embarrassing performance. We didn't come out, we didn't play hard, we didn't give this team any respect and we got our butts kicked in the process. You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win a basketball game.

 I think they are a great basketball team. A top-20 team. They have veteran players, they play hard, and they know their roles. I don't see any weakness.
