I talk to Kenny Wallace and drivers that are local. I call them and ask for direction. Am I doing this right? What should we be doing? They're really nice.

He has really matured. We call him Kenny Rogers. He knows when to fold them and hold them. He has done a nice job down the stretch.

It's great to see Kenny's level of desire and determination. I expect to learn a lot from him. Some of the veteran drivers are not the best mentors because in this sport everybody is looking out for himself. But I can trust Kenny and I know he'll be a great mentor. They say you're only as good as the company you keep, and in racing there's no better company than Ken Schrader.

I've turned over a new leaf. On TV, Kenny Wallace said I was a pessimist after Charlotte, so I got mad. Now I am so excited about coming back that I just can't stand it. I wish we were starting tomorrow and I'm going to win! That's the new me.

It's going to be nice to have a veteran presence with both Todd and Kenny. I had a chance in 2004 to speak to Kenny when he was in town with Texas, and he's going to be nothing but a positive player around here for the younger pitchers. He's going to bring a lot to the table for us, and I'm going to enjoy having him around.

We realize that our efforts should focus on all drivers as opposed to just teenage drivers, and that our effects had to be national, not just local.

Mentally we need guys to show every time, ... I don't know if Marte is ready to do that for the team. I'm going to talk to Kenny, I'm going to talk to (Marte) and see how he feels, to see if he's ready to help this team. If Marte is not ready to help this team, he can have a nice trip to the Dominican Republic and enjoy himself.

Man, that's certainly not the case with me and my team. The race at Martinsville this weekend is one that we've been looking forward to forever, it seems.

If you're not able to take the time to get into a classroom setting and you're wanting to make a career in motorsports, then I think is an ideal way to get an education in it. “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. It's also ideal for local drivers and the people that surround them. It will give them more of an idea of what they have to do to secure sponsorships for their teams, and as everyone knows, securing sponsorship for anything these days is a tough thing to do. This course, and this program, will get you started in the right direction.

It's nice to see Kenny win. It's nice to see for him that hard work pays off.

Kenny had to read the newspaper to his dad every night. These guys (fathers) were brilliant men but simply had no education. Kenny's dad did not want to be ignorant even if he could not read, so Kenny read that paper to him every day.
