 The second half was better than first half. We were down by as many as 20 points. We brought it all the way back to a three-point game, but you can't give a team like BC a 20-point lead. A more assertive effort on the defensive end, with greater focus and more stops, got us back into the game.

 The last game we didn't have Meier and we played a poor first half. We had to fight back and took a two-point lead and got beat on a last-second possession and that was a tough loss for us. Tonight we had a chance to redeem ourselves and the kids did.

 We had a lead in that game and we blew it. We have to learn to pull those games out. ... We're trying to make the playoffs and every point counts. If you miss it by one point, you probably look back at this game.

 In the second set, it was tough at 4-3 when he tried to break back. It was a long game and tough for the concentration. It was very important for me to win that game. I just tried to run everything down and win every point out there.

 They've been in the top 10, top five in the state. They had beaten us by 19 (points) a few weeks before that and then we came back and beat them. We even had a 25-point lead at one point during that game. That spoke volumes about our team.

 He had a tough game on Saturday, but he'll bounce back from it. My thoughts about Charlie really haven't changed. I knew there was going to be a tough game at some point along the line. This team posed a lot of issues for him, and how he recovers from that will be a big indicator of what his abilities are.

To say he's going to be back when, when he's going to be throwing full-range, all that stuff, at this point I have no idea.

 It's a tough way to lose a basketball game. The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. When you have a three point lead, and there's under two seconds to go, you foul.

 They're very athletic, and they run the floor. They have tough-minded guys and they never give up. Even when you have a lead, they always find a way to come back. It's an ACC game and it's going to be a close game I'm sure. We're just going to have to be consistent throughout the game; we can't have long periods where we don't score.

 We could not let up at any point of the game, because they would come back and take the lead on us.

 It reminded me a lot of Game 1. They got out to an eight-, 10-point lead, and then we fought back. Game 1, we just couldn't get over the hump. ... (Tonight) everyone was just really determined.
