 My first role was a tree at the Fox Theatre in Aurora in the Wizard of Oz .

 The Rep has long been interested in acquiring a smaller, more intimate theatre in which we could produce smaller shows. Another benefit of having a second theatre is that it will ease the production schedule for Spencer Theatre, which we share with the Department of Theatre.

 Compare the cinema with theatre. Both are dramatic arts. Theatre brings actors before a public and every night during the season they re-enact the same drama. Deep in the nature of theatre is a sense of ritual. The cinema, by contrast, transports its audience individually, singly, out of the theatre towards the unknown.

 I live in Aurora and I'm proud to be an Auroran. It's time for an Aurora school to win a state championship, and I don't care what class.

 The 'Wizard of Oz' is her favorite movie, and this past December, she was a part of the lullaby league in a production of the 'Wizard of Oz' in Flatwoods.

Here at Unicorn we are committed to creating imaginative, resonant theatre for children and for all of us. Her Royal Highness? support of and involvement with our theatre illustrates the importance of the Unicorn and the immense value of theatre in the lives of young people across the country.

 It's one of those roles where you realize why you got into theatre and without sounding too proud, it’s just one of those moments where you feel born to play a role that was made for you. It’s a great show and I really hope it find its way to Broadway. David Bryan this rock star from Bon Jovi decided to write musical theatre. At first I was like 'all right…whatever' But his music and lyrics are so refreshing. It reminds me a lot of Yazbek but more gospel and R&B influenced. It’s the best original music I have heard in a long time.

 The government needs jurors who have seen 'The Wizard of Oz' all the way through and still think there is a wizard.

 I am so honored to have been asked to manage one of Los Angeles theatrical treasures, the Celebration Theatre. I look forward to bringing a new vitality to the theatre with its first subscription series of shows in over a decade and initiating a company of actors to create a vibrant family of artists at the theatre.

 There is something at the heart of 'The Wizard of Oz' that is about feminine empowerment. I never set out to do that as a goal - write a musical about feminine empowerment. But the wizard, the male character, is a charlatan and a fraud. The witches have real power.
