We got off to a great, great start. The problem came when we started putting them on the free-throw line.

That's one thing we've been working at. We started the year pretty weak at the free-throw line. Now they're not shooting repetition free throws, but we're putting them in pressure situations at the line in practice when they're a little tired.

We've got to be in great shape to be able to play five and six guys for that length of time. Our kids are in great shape. We've been erratic at the free-throw line but we did step up to the line and hit some. The first thing to go if you're tired is going to be your legs. If those goes then those free throws are going to be pretty hard to make.

We used motion to shake our guys free on that play. Adam made his best throw of the day, putting it right on the numbers, and he got great protection from the offensive line.

We started a young lineup, and I think we got great production on offense. We only shot about 30 percent on the free throw line, and if we do better than that the game is probably ours.

I make substitutions based on who can hit a free throw. Keith Cochran is our most accurate free throw shooter. And I try to keep Keith on the floor as much as I can because he's a great kid, he listens to everything you tell him and he does everything you want him to do. We just didn't shoot the ball well from the field or the free-throw line. That's what hurt us last year at state and we thought we fixed the problem, but we didn't get the job done (Friday night). That's also a credit to Del Norte to because they play great defense.
