I think the day fostered a goodwill attitude, and it contributed to the focus of getting out there and succeeding despite any obstacles. A lot of the reps even became pen pals with the Special Olympics kids they spent the day with, and I think ultimately the children were the glue that bound the reps to each other.

 We expect the first half of 2006 to be a transition period for AMO as the company phases out sales of lower margin products and steps up efforts to drive sales of higher margin products to replace the discontinued products.

 Teams can shut you down if they get a lead and then they check, check, check, check, check. Well if we come out and get going, they've got to open it up to try to score. So that's a real focus for us - we have to start good.

 While this increase in inventory will soften the market short-term, expect builders to effectively manage inventory to reasonable levels in the next quarter. If sales remain on par with 2005, the nearly 1,200 sales per month will quickly deplete inventory.

 Our customer diversification continues as non-Ford sales were 36 percent of total sales in the second quarter and we continue to win new business with these customers in our key growth products.

 When [sales reps] leave the event, the message has to be clear to them on all levels. If a sales rep can't relate the product's message in 30 seconds or less, then the company has its mission.

 The client would write a check for Fonte to forward to the insurance company, and he wasn't doing anything beyond collecting the check and cashing it in his own account. Unfortunately, unless someone is very diligent about making sure they have received the policy and read it, a customer might never know they didn't have coverage until they needed to file a claim.

 He did request a check, and we did give him a check. What usually happens is we transfer that money to their account electronically. But he wanted a check, and we try to keep our players happy, especially our big winners.

 It's a huge customer win. This was the number one customer request. There's no reason to write a paper check anymore.

 The fact that this gain occurred in a month when sales also increased implies it was intended inventory building. If firms had wanted to cut inventories, they could have used the increase in sales as an opportunity to cut further.

 Most of them (the offers) were 'Where's the check?', whereas John's venture was very well funded and he just wanted me on board... He did a pretty good sales job. His enthusiasm was contagious.
