It doesn't feel as good (playing the first day) as we were the only team left that had never played on Thursday. I'm disappointed that we didn't finish higher but I understand how good the league is and somebody had to finish sixth or seventh.

We have exceptional talent, even in the Family Islands but we have to go in there with something new. The local coaches could only take us so far. Last week we were happy to finish second in the tournament. Now today we're disappointed that we didn't win. They're a great team and I think we're still a little behind, but not too far. We're a pretty good 6-5 team.

If you're going to score, it usually takes some good teamwork and we weren't as good a team as we needed to be. That's why guys with good offensive talent didn't seem to finish off.

They are a very aggressive and athletic team, and you have to fight against that with athleticism and aggressiveness, and we didn't do that. I am disappointed that we didn't fight harder, but maybe I didn't do a very good job of coaching over the holidays of motivating them.

The kids showed a lot of heart and a lot of fight. This game was a measuring stick. We know we have some talent, but until you play a game like this, you don't really know how to gauge yourself. We're going to be all right.

I give credit to Madison West. They are a very good football team. We are disappointed to not finish, I thought our kids gave great effort.

That was a really hard loss for us. We've just got to stick together as a team and fight through this.
