 I don't see much risk of a blow out in financial credit spreads any time soon. The balance of risk favors some widening but I expect only slight moderation in 2006.

 Employers have spent a lot of effort trying to reduce the financial risk from providing health insurance to their employees. But the greater risk is what employees' health problems can cost them in the form of lost productivity at work or the total burden of illness. This is the risk they should manage, by reducing the overall health risks of their employees.

 We always knew there was a risk associated with Russia. But more than a political risk, it's a transit risk and a development risk.

 The risk here isn't turning courtrooms into a circus or unduly invading someone's privacy. The risk is the danger we pose to our society and our democracy when we close off our institutions to the people they're supposed to serve.
