Ryan pitched well, he's pitched well all year. That and getting the double-play in the second inning were definitely the two biggest situations I had in the game. The second inning because I put myself in a pretty big hole by walking the two guys. But the eighth inning was what earned me the win.

You don't try a double steal very often, but we tried it tonight and it worked. When you run a double steal, you're betting on them throwing through. When they don't, it makes you look awfully foolish.

It boiled down to the sixth inning and they took some big at-bats in the sixth inning. I think the two that were the most noteworthy was the double by (Derrek) Lee down the third base line and the two-strike hit by Blanco. That was hit in the perfect spot and found it's way through the middle of the field.

We did some good things. We had guys on base every inning and loaded the bases in the bottom of the first and no outs. (But) our hitter goes after a bad pitch and hits into a double play. Then the next guy grounds out. To me, that's a mental mistake because you don't go after pitches like that, especially with no strikes.
