 People, especially a team like that, they're making sure they're getting the puck out, and they've got guys finishing checks, and they're committed to their system defensively. Toronto did the same thing to us the other day in our building. They played a desperate, determined game, but we were able to kind of match it [in a 3-1 win]. We never matched it [against Atlanta], and they pretty much had their way with us. Down the stretch you just have to be ready to play at all times.

 That's nice. We were ready defensively, and we've done that all year. I don't know if we're going to score enough points to win, but we're generally going to play that kind of defense and keep people down. The kids are well-seasoned and they run our plays pretty well. Our problem has been finishing.

 I'd rather play a 1-6 team than an 0-7 team because they are not as desperate for a win. Toronto is desperate for a win. We are going to have to be ready - that is going to be a real test for us.

 I think he's just getting better and better as we're going down the stretch. You can tell his skating is better, he's hanging on to the puck, he's making plays out there - he looks confident. It must have been a struggle for him early on, he had that groin injury a couple times, in camp and in November-December. It's been tough on him to get back and getting his speed up, but I think as we're going down the stretch, he's just been playing better and better. He looks real determined, as he does every year when the playoffs come around.

 That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

 They found a way. Our work ethic got better. We had a little more bite in our game. We started finishing our checks. We were harder in the puck area. That's a sign of a team that's starting to come together here.

 We played where we wanted to play and took a lot of their skill away by making the right decisions and finishing checks and being gritty in certain areas.

 We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.

 Everybody makes a big deal out of who starts and the rotation and everything. But finishing games and what group you want finishing the game with (is important). And, what lineup has been effective throughout the course of the game. That's probably the biggest challenge. What are the five guys you're going to play down the stretch?

 It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

 The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing.  The game was just like the last time in here. Both teams played pretty hard, pretty well defensively. We played better defensively than we had in the last few games. I just hope we realize that, and get ready for them again in a couple of days.

 This is the kind of game we talked about having to play. More up-tempo, more movement, less set offense. The game is in the hands of the players. We have a group out there that's a pretty knowledgeable group. They played well off each other. The critical thing is going to be our decision making. We need to play aggressively, but not frantically. When we played frantically, it got us in trouble.

 I think it'll be a nice little thing for the Florida Southern team to say they played against these guys, even though they're not going to play the whole game. There's still going to be a pretty good team throughout the whole game.

 Kind of how we've been for 37 games. Different guys lead us over different parts of the game, play unselfish. Thirty assists, eight turnovers, that's kind of where we've been when we win games. I think how we played tonight against New York is pretty much how this team has played through the first half of this season.
