 Some of that comes with age. The penalties hurt us. We knew that if we had too many penalties we would pay the price for it. Cape Elizabeth is too strong of a team to play short-handed. When we took penalties, they capitalized.

 We have some kids hustling real hard out there, and we made some mistakes. We tried to shoot ourselves in the foot. All those penalties were uncharacteristic for us, and could have been costly in a couple of situations.

 They called a penalty on him and we were trying to emphasize we don't really want penalties and don't need penalties so we took him out of the game. I hope (our players) understand that penalties will get us beat. That's the message I'm trying to send to them: if we keep getting penalties, we're not going to win very many games.

 Marquette is a very fast and disciplined hockey team and they gave us a lot of trouble. We had a solid game plan, but didn't execute it. Plus, we had 12 minor penalties and you can't survive against a team like Marquette with that many penalties.

 When you're an aggressive football team, you're gonna get some penalties, but you just don't want stupid penalties. Those (three) were just stupid penalties.

 We took some bad penalties. This is something that we told our team, not to take bad penalties, and we took some bad penalties. Against a team like that, for sure it's going to cost and again (Monday) it cost.

 We hoped to have another win or two, but the team played well despite a few untimely penalties. We gave up five goals due to penalties.

 That was probably one of our worst games on the trip. We were in the box all game killing penalties and we're a horrible team when he have to kill that many penalties.
