 I really believe Phil Lewis and myself, we are lifers. Before we joined L.A. GUNS , Phil and I had done a lot of stuff other than him just being in GIRL , and me being in W.A.S.P. We are a little bit older than the crowd. We have been playing since the mid-'70s. We are really gypsies; there is no doubt about it. We have to be on the move, we have family lives, and personal lives in L.A., but we are two gypsies. I think our families are gypsies now too. (Laughter) That is the secret to L.A. GUNS . It doesn't matter if we are playing a small club, or on a big tour. We have to play, and we have to record new music. I think that is the difference between us and other bands. We must record for ourselves. If we don't do new material there is no point. We love our old repertoire. We have to play a lot of it every night. We just love it all, but we can't live off that. We have to be writing new songs all the time.

 There was a lack of traveling, but the people who were traveling were in family groups. There was a feeling that families had to be together. We even got our family together that night,

 I'd like to go on the road again with a band. When I did it I loved the social aspects of it, you know traveling with the band and all, but I didn't like the music as well. And there was nothing of visual interest. Maybe I would have to get someone else to play so I could finally dance the way I was born to do.

 We thought about doing a little bit of traveling. In fact, we bought the car with using it for traveling in mind. We were going to visit family in Missouri and New Mexico.

 We're based on our friends' couches and in our old rooms at our parents' houses. What we have in common is that our parents loved to travel, so touring comes natural to us. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. We're a band of gypsies.

 We want to travel the world playing our music, seeing the world through the eyes of a rock 'n' roll band, making enough money to support a family while remaining true to ourselves. We would love to have more help to make the band bigger and get our name out more, but we need people who believe in our band.

 Trial by Existence is a band with extraordinary talent. They love what they do, and it shows in their music. They're a unique band that's way ahead of its time.

 We're really a family before we are a band. Being a band and all, that's just a plus, we're that close. We'll be on the road for months at a time and then we'll be home and we'll see each other the next day and it's like we never saw each other.

 We're like a big family. Everybody is in the band because they absolutely love the band and the music.

 The bands that I respect are the ones that have lasted the longest. Any band that can keep being a band is [lucky] because the music industry is [in bad shape] and [is only getting] worse. We hope and pray that we still get to play rock shows in five years and that people still show up.

 We try to play as many shows as we can; if we could, we'd play more. Even when we aren't touring, every weekend, we are traveling as far as we can get. So far, we've played shows in Arizona, Nevada and Hollywood.

 The Gillis Brothers band from Georgia is one of the most original, true bluegrass bands traveling the nation.
