 I really think Omar, like so many of these kids, they already have an idea in their minds of when they're going to be ready. Regardless of what happens, that's what they're going to do.

 It felt like such a right idea that it didn't bother me to put it away, because I knew it would be ready when it's ready, ... When I had kids, I realized I understood my parents better. I had more compassion for them and I look at my kids and realize, 'Oh, man. This is just the same cycle all over again.'

 The missile struck and all of (Omar's) family ran outside in panic, and Mullah Omar asked me to get a taxi.

 I knew in my mind that the fans wanted Omar. It was a little hard replacing Omar.

 We don't have Omar anymore. We know Omar can throw a lot of touchdown passes. We don't know that about our quarterbacks now.

 Omar hasn't been swinging all that well. He's hit a lot of pop-ups. I still think Omar will get more of the time, but it's going to be split up a little more, and I'll go with the hot hand.

 Omar Jacobs is a really talented young man. The only problem we might have with him is in my meeting room. We'll have more MAC updates than any other place in the country. So it will be interesting between Ben, Charlie and Omar.

 Ron Hudson told me Omar was a real good-looking athlete with a lot of upside, but that he had some flaws in his throwing motion, ... So I got Omar on the phone and said, 'Who else is recruiting you?' He said, 'The only other visit I got is Buffalo.'

 Our main lesson is all about team work. The overall idea is to give kids a fun and safe environment, so they can use their bodies and their minds, instead of watching TV.

 We respect Omar's decision and we support him. Any coach would love to have an Omar Jacobs for another year, but we know his desire is to play professionally. We really appreciate his efforts in helping us re-establish a winning tradition at BGSU.

 The delegates will see Omar as the best choice so, accordingly, Omar will win.

 It's been a long time coming, but I think this group has proven they are one of the top teams in the nation and that they deserve to be there. We're going down with the idea of having a good time, but when it's game time, we need to be ready to play. With this group of kids, I have no doubt they will be ready.

 Once the kids come, we encourage (dancers) to play with them to keep their minds off standing for 48 hours. Anything to keep their minds off of the pain. It's about being here for a purpose. They are the purpose.

 On good days, there is nothing wrong. I felt great on Opening Day (Monday). I was ready to head to Arizona and get ready to play. I had a setback. That's what caused this. Now we'll have to have a meeting of the minds pretty soon.

 Anytime you go on the road, it's tough. Our kids have fared well away from home and have done a good job of getting ready each week and coming out fired up and ready to play. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. I don't expect anything different now, because our kids have stepped up in the big games. That's something you've got to be able to do in this district, and we can't go in worried about the past.
