 The bottom line is we need one more great effort for 32 minutes (tonight) to get to Lexington (to the state tournament). We're not finished yet.

 Now the records are done and we're back to 0-0. The bottom line is that you want to get to the state tournament. Ideally, you want the No. 1 seed and the first-round bye, but we'll take No. 1 or No. 2 as long as we're in the tournament.

 Joseph's minutes tonight were great minutes. He's just a new dimension when he comes into a game. And Pyle showed in the way he finished plays why he's an All-American.

 We got a chance, 40 minutes away from actually making it to the Tournament. We'll need even more effort (tonight).

 Bottom line was they had 16 minutes to continue their season. I think no matter what we put in there, they knew that in the back of their minds that they had 16 minutes to decide whether they wanted to continue on to Thursday or tonight was it.

 Our kids have decided they want to go to the state tournament and we're going to make every effort. Their heads aren't down. They know they gave a great effort and they know if we can play basketball like that (today) we have a great shot of going as the No. 3 seed and that's all we can ask for.

 These guys wrestled great all year. We finished in the top five in every tournament and finished in the top 10 in the state. You couldn't ask for any more than what we did this year.

 I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

 Lexington is so special because it draws so much strength from its individual neighborhood communities, which in turn strengthens the Lexington community. Lexington has a tradition of welcoming everyone, it had great appeal for individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs.

 Penn State really finished with a great flurry. They really did well in the state of Maryland and they did well on the defensive line, not to mention them getting a receiver like Chris Bell. They also filled all their needs.

 We did not compete at our best level. I thought that they wanted it more than we did and they went out and played that way. The bottom line is we have to prepare ourselves for more of a team effort than we got from our group tonight.

 I was extremely pleased with Laura's effort and work tonight. She may not always get a lot of minutes, but she is a very solid player who is able to stay calm and direct the team. She played great tonight.

 The effort was better tonight, but the bottom line was still a negative result. We played a 3-4-3 tonight to keep the pressure coming down the front, everything was positive except the final result and everyone is down about the final result. We had more of a fighting spirit tonight and played more physically.

 Cassie Lassen played the best game of her career by far. She just stepped it up and played at the next level we need her to. It was a great team effort tonight. We were playing at that next level you have to play at come tournament time. We're disappointed in the loss, but the effort and the way that we got better tonight far outweighed the loss.

 Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. The only thing that matters tonight, and I mean this sincerely, is that we just played a great defensive effort for 40 minutes. It's a great win for that reason. The icing on the cake is 100.
