 Desert golf is not easy. People lose a lot of golf balls. Of course, they're not inclined to go and look around for it in the desert. I don't recommend that for anyone. Cactus aren't very friendly.

 I have been in the business for more than 40 years and I've always heard Florida is going to run out of rock. We continually find and are able to use lower grade phosphate, which even 20 years ago we would never have dreamed of using.

 Fifteen years ago, nobody had heard of disc golf, now it's everywhere.

 There's been a big buzz about the Charlatans in the last couple of years. I've heard the word Charlatans more in the last few years than I'd heard it for the previous 20 years. People would interview me for years and never even mention the Charlatans.

 We've had a lull for the last couple of years. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. I think (Florida, Florida State and Miami) will have very strong teams, but I don't have any of them playing for a national championship. To most people, it's a year away.

 When I'm out there people say I'm not a scorer. I still have it in me. But we have a whole group of people that can score. I've got to do the things that sort of make us a championship team, diving for loose balls, using my size under the basket. That's what I have to do.

 The perception of high school golf a number of years back was not the highest, that it wasn't that hard a sport. That has all changed as the game has grown - especially among young people. There is a lot more respect for the players and the sport. People now are aware of how difficult it is to be good at golf.

 When I heard all these people -- the thousands of people -- shout my name, it was the most beautiful thing that I have heard in recent years,

 First they said New Jersey, and then I heard later on it was Florida. I heard it was Las Vegas. I heard Pennsylvania.

 He's improved so much since his freshman year. He's hit a lot of balls, and he's also used his intelligence to improve. He's said, 'This is what I need to improve on, this is what I need to work on.' And I think he still has his best golf ahead of him. It may even be a few years down the road.

 During the period from 1934 to about two or three years ago, there really wasn't much done to this golf course. Why all of a sudden do we need a new golf course? Because we've got new equipment that doesn't fit this golf course, or even fit the game anymore. That's why.
