 (Y-C) just got too many looks at the basket - right at the hoop. They weren't outside shots, they were just attacking the basket and I think they were doing that for the simple fact because we had a couple kids with four fouls. Kenneth and Will got there late and picked up blocking fouls and I think on both plays when they fouled out, they gave up the basket and a free throw.

 [Adonal] Foyle showed a lot of moves down there. He was awesome tonight. It was a young spry Adonal Foyle, it was great to see. Adonal really stepped up for us tonight and we don't win the game without him. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing.

 I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.

 They got a couple of buckets late. But we also had some really good looks at the basket down the stretch, and we just couldn't get any to go down. We were down by 16 in the first half and came back, and we played really well in the second half to get back in it. We just couldn't make the shots at the end.

 What makes her special is she can do it all. She rebounds, can handle the ball, plays with her back to the basket or facing the basket. She can defend somebody in the post or on the perimeter.

 It's just being young. He wasn't afraid. He attacked the basket and took the shots. But with freedom comes responsibility and accountability. You have to make those plays. I applaud him for being aggressive, but you've got to make it happen. We just have to keep learning from those experiences.

 We turned it around in the second half on the defensive end. USC attacked the basket and we had to make adjustments at halftime. Leon is grabbing a lot of rebounds and that helps.

 He came back, but I thought he was a little out of sync early. Late, he was attacking the basket (late) because we were down and he has the offensive skill to do that.

 I think we defended pretty well. We just couldn't make a basket. Please make a basket, make a free throw, anything. Kick one in.

 Cole came through with several big plays. He had a couple late, making the basket and the free throw, that kept us in the lead.

 We do have other kids that can play. Katie Snead had a huge rebound and basket in overtime late in the game.

 Our plan was to push him away from the basket and make him use a dribble if he was going to make it to the basket and we didn't want the ball to come to him and have him be able to fan it out to the guards.

 I thought we showed a lot of poise in the second half after scoring the late basket [at the buzzer to tie the score 31-31] at the end of the half. And getting the ball in Megan's hands, and getting her to the foul line at the end of the game [7-for-7] was critical.
