They (Arlington) have five or six guys that can hit outside jumpers. They all did such a good job of penetrating and finding the open players and knocking them down more times than they missed.

We weren't very patient early. We were going a little bit too fast. The zone really threw things out of whack. Guys were taking jumpers instead of penetrating and then finding the open guy.

It's great. It feels great. Guys were knocking down shots. It wasn't just the passers - the guys had to make the shots too. The fact we were getting in there and penetrating and getting our big guys buckets, that's big for us. We're a good passing team.

I thought there were times (against South Carolina) when guys created off the dribble and didn't find him. I thought he should have gotten up 10 or 11 shots. There was three or four or five times when our guys missed him. Our team has got to do a better job of recognizing when he's open and getting him the basketball.

The guys were looking around and finding the open guys well. They were able to stop them from shooting at times and when they did have shots, Manny (Fernandez) was there to make the saves.

They have some really good players on their team that are known for knocking down big shots and we just gave them too many open opportunities.

The shots we got were within our offense and they were good looks, but we just weren't knocking them down. We got a lot of open shots that we missed.

I think we were just feeling it today. They're a team that is really good defensively helping each other. When we were getting in there to penetrate. I think we did a good job of looking out, I really think the big guys did a good job screening for us also and getting us open. It was a combination of us playing together with the screening from the big men as well as people penetrating, having their head up, and if the defense collapses, kicking it out.

We got the ball inside a lot, got some really good looks at the basket and the ball just wouldn't go down for us. We missed some lay-ups and missed a lot of short jumpers, and that was in large part because of their defense.

I'm just happy we won. They came at us in the first half, hitting us right in the face, and making it real hard for us on the defensive end, penetrating and pitching, guys knocking down shots and just making harder for us on the offensive end.

I think probably we were guilty of trying to go forward too quick sometimes instead of settling it down and trying to open them up that way. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. Too many times we probably tried that penetrating pass and it didn't come off.

I'm more of a guy who will throw it away or I'll duck and take it rather than just throwing it up. The times I have thrown it up and it could have been picked, my guys have done a good job of knocking it down. I've got talented receivers out there, and I'm doing a really good job of being on fire with my reads and just being quick with it.

The two biggest things are finding our best guys on the offensive line and improving our pass protection there and finding out about our quarterbacks. We're looking for a guy that is going to open it up and replace Brodie. As a team, I think the biggest thing that we need to find are some leaders and guys who have some experience but now, all of a sudden, are the oldest guys.

She's a great point guard. I know she's going to do a lot of penetrating [today] and finding her teammates, and she does a great job of that. ... I'm going to try and keep her in front of me at all times. She is the main thing on that team -- anybody can see it.

Illinois is a physical team. Coach said to keep penetrating, keep trying to get to the line and open up things for the other players.
