 I'm pretty certain that that won't go down as a pretty victory. But we'll take it. ... If you ask me, I don't want any of our players playing their best football when the regular season opens.  I think I had a pretty good season. Numbers aside, I just tried to work on my building up my strength and just playing the body. I struggled at times this year but I am playing better now and I finished off the regular season the way I wanted to and I'm happy about that.

 He started the season playing pretty well. It didn't show up in points necessarily, but he was playing well and it's good to have him back especially with a couple of our key players not able to go right now.

 We had the most problems when both teams started playing man-to-man. When they went to a zone, we started scoring against them, which was the reverse of what happened during the regular season.

 I haven't proven anything yet. This is preseason football and I think I'm playing pretty well, but we haven't even played Game 1. We'll see what we do in the regular season.

 It was a typical first game of the season, ... Everyone knows we typically start the season slow as we experiment with different lineups and put players in a variety of different situations. We started out the game that way for about the first 25 minutes. Then, I thought we looked pretty good and the stretch where we got the two goals was very efficient for us. We got a little out of shape just after the two goals. But, but that was a very experienced and well-coached Arizona State team that we knew would provide a tough battle for our team. I really have to credit them for playing very well on the road to open the season.

 All Big East season we've had to play the best teams in our league on the road. It couldn't end any better way in our regular season than playing the No.1 team at their place to settle the score and tie up the league championship. It's all set up pretty well.

 Philip is on course and is a developing player. I think I've indicated to you before there can be opportunities, and we had one earlier this season, that it was my intention to get him in with five or six minutes to go but we never got the ball back until it was considerably less than that. Regular-season football is different than preseason football. It's been a philosophy of mine that you play your players until you have determined that the win is secured.

 Last year we started off pretty horrible and this year we're off to a good start. If this was a football season we'd be sitting pretty right now, but in baseball, we have a long way to go.

 His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. [Brittany] has hit some big shots all through the regular season. I'm pretty confident in all my players in that spot.

 District is like an extension of the regular season. We've been playing pretty well, but there is always room for improvement.

 Whether we play well or don't play well come Sunday, will have no bearing on how we've done this season. As I recall, we lost our last couple games in the exhibition season and got off to a pretty good start in the regular season.

 It's going to be a totally different match (than the one in the regular season) because were going to be playing outdoors. Some of their players have been playing good at the end of the season, and some of our players have struggled the last two weeks. I think it's anybody's match.

 It was pretty exceptional to watch. Something like that will be tough to match, but he works hard and is pretty focused. The playoffs are different than an 82-game regular season schedule. We know he'll be there for us this year, because he's the biggest part of our team. But hopefully people don't expect the same thing, because that would be pretty unreasonable.

 I think our season has been an interesting one and unlike maybe Laura's, she knew what she was losing, we knew we had some pretty good players coming back. We didn't come into the season expecting to be here. It's been a pretty fun ride.
