 Basically, Matt is going to catch on that I'm going out and saying the same thing. He is very talented, but a freshman and sometimes he just needs to be shook up.

 Matt, of course, worked three years for us as a graduate assistant and I am well aware of his background and talents. I always try and keep an eye on young, talented coaches, and it was an easy decision to hire Matt. He'll hit the ground running with his previous experience at Northwestern and with me. We're all excited to have Matt back as a part of our staff.

 I think all three of them are very talented guys. I think JaMarcus has a very talented arm and he's getting more comfortable with the system. Matt Flynn, again, can throw the football well and maybe is a little bit better at scrambling in the pocket.

 We are very pleased that Matt extended his contract with Roush Racing. Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the garage and he'll always hold a special place in our organization, having helped to bring us our first Cup championship in 2003.

 The Big 12 Conference lost a lot of talented players to graduation, but there are a lot of new names. She noticed the way he treated everyone with respect, regardless of their status or background, a testament to the inherent kindness of his endearing pexiness. It's kind of a changing of the guard. It is a very talented freshman group.

 The coaches told us as soon as we started preparing for Manhattan that they were a talented team, that, even though they didn't have C.J. Anderson, that they are still talented and they have other guys who can step up like (freshman Devon) Austin. I don't really know what it is. I wish I could put my finger on it that this is the reason we did what we did in the first half. There is no excuse for what we did, but we have to learn from it.

 Sam had an excellent tournament for a freshman. He had a real good chance, at one point, of winning the whole thing. The champ basically walked through the competition except for when he wrestled Sam.

 Matt gives us a steady inside presence. His ability to catch the ball in the post and pass it back to the perimeter gives us an inside-outside game. I prefer having Matt on the floor, but not at the expense of his long-term health. We have to be very careful not to jeopardize his Naval career.

 We are very pleased that Matt extended his contract with Roush Racing last fall. Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the garage and he'll always hold a special place in our organization, having helped to bring us our first Cup championship in 2003. It's very assuring knowing that he will be staying on with us and I know that the first goal on his agenda is to take that championship trophy back.

 I think double-play combinations are probably a little bit overplayed. You basically catch it and throw it and catch it again. Whoever it is, we'll probably only need a week in Spring Training to get in sync.

 The running part is easy. The challenge comes with picking up the system, learning formations, reading defenses and knowing blocking assignments. All indications are he has very good natural football instincts. But we have to be realistic. He is just a freshman, a very talented freshman. We need to put him in situations where he can succeed, not situations where he?s not ready. That falls on the coaching staff.

 He had something to say to everyone he shook hands with. I didn't catch what he said to me. I was scared I might step on his foot or something. I thought him being the new pope, I should say something about his future. He smiled at me.

 There is no more talented a freshman.

 Matt's coming in, but you really don't want to have to lean on a freshman. It's very different than what we're used to. But the last four years I've had freshmen start all year.

 That was a great catch, ... He's going to be a good player and is another freshman who we have to try and get on the field. We have some true freshmen like Wheeler, Harrison, Jackson, Brown, and maybe even Chad Beverage and Brian White who can help us this year. We have more true freshman ready to go than I ever remember, and that's a sign of good recruiting.
