 We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

 I haven't given it any thought, ... I'll stick to my game plan, and at the end of the year or close to the end, I'll start thinking about that and see what I come up with.

 I haven't thought about that. The guys from last year, I see them ... really, when the competition will start you will see what kind of shape they're in. They look good now, but they haven't wrestled yet. They haven't got an elbow in the face. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. A kick in the butt. A slash on the ankle. But it's coming.

 I'm hoping to get in another game before the playoffs start, but every day it seems to be getting better so hopefully I'm ready then. It's just not getting better as quick as I thought it would. I skated in St. Louis on Tuesday, but I haven't been back on the ice since then.

 We knew who their two big guys were - Joe Johnson and Harrington. You don't want to let the stars beat you. We did a good job of stopping Harrington in the second half.

 I thought it was a real tough way to start out a road game. We could never totally get our game into it. They obviously played the better home game then we did the road game. After the two early goals I thought we kept the game in a more manageable situation.

 I don't feel like I'm laboring, ... I'm just concentrating on that one pitch and letting things happen. I'm trying to use the defense. I haven't really thought about (start to start). I'm just focusing on the now.

 This game was a good game for him. We haven't been in field goal range the last couple of weeks. The last one, it's a tough one. I thought he hit it pretty well, I thought it was going in. We had a shot, hopefully we'll have more shots to win them.

 Right now, where Mike McMahon will be is ahead of Joey Harrington, ... That's just obvious. He's going to know the system better. He's going to know the offense in and out. There's no way that Harrington can just drop right in there. Mike will have to be the guy, and it'll be a good competition. I think he's up to it. In fact, I know he is.

 I could easily go with Harrington. Easily. ... I think the quarterback's very possible. More than people think. Let me put it this way. If we took a poll of everybody involved in our draft strategy right now, Harrington would be here. But it's a bigger picture than that.

 We haven't played a game yet. It's easy to say that when you haven't played a game, ... Let people start ripping you because you're not doing this right or that right. Then let's see if we have that team chemistry. I believe we will. I think it will be pretty solid. But that's all talk. That doesn't get you in the end zone right now. We've got to go out on the field and prove all of these things.

 I haven't had as many chances here as I would have liked or would have thought. But why the other guys haven't played well here, I don't know. It's a course that, if you play well, it can suit anybody's game. I just don't know why we haven't put it together. It's hard to say, because we've all had decent chances.

 The worst thing that any team can do is think about their record. The minute you start thinking more than one game ahead, you will start losing. We never even thought about 70 wins in Chicago until we got to around 65. Then it became a goal, but we were still focused on the next game.

 We haven't thought about. We haven't talked about it. It has no impact (on tonight's game) to be honest with you.
