We have to play those guys more. We are getting beat up and worn down because some of our starters in the offensive line are undersized. The freshmen aren't undersized, but our starters are. Christian Johnson really played well. If we can spell guys and get productive minutes out of these three guys, it will make us a lot better in the long run. I know Michael Aitcheson played a lot better when he came back in. Maybe it was because he was fresher and not having to play all the time.

He understands all quarterbacks will throw to the other guy once in a while. It's kind of ironic that as soon as he broke the (Kentucky) record for most passes without an interception (153) that the next one was intercepted. But it was just a matter of time. I'm just hopeful he'll put together another 150 string without an interception.

Whew. That doesn't bode well.

He really did halfway decent for a guy with three days of practice. Based on our health at that position, I would expect Eric's snaps to go up this week.

Vanderbilt and us are in probably the toughest six-team division (SEC East) in college football. It makes it very difficult to have a breakthrough year. Stanford, by and large, doesn't have as large a hill to climb.

We're a team that has been decimated by the injury bug. I've had bad injury years, but this one is almost beyond comprehension.

It's great to have Aaron back in school. During his absence he's gained strength and weight (now weighs 298 pounds). He will bring intense competition to the left tackle position during spring practice.

He has the physical size to be a player next year. We certainly went through the whole (recruiting) process with him ... we were semi-confident, and we were excited to get the phone call late last night.

We got all the guys committed and we got the jelly doughnut in Corey Peters.

We always stress to the kids to work hard in the classroom. We want our players to get a quality education as well as performing on the field.

We meet at least once a week with the CATS program and the coaching staff to communicate with the players to keep up with their school work.

I've had other guys try to influence recruits, but never as demonstratively as Micah. He didn't want to be the only top recruit ... he wanted to get us some help down here.

He can be a stand-up guy (play a non-line position) at 275 (pounds). He walked onto our practice field as a junior (in high school), and I thought he was an NFL guy.

We have an outstanding group of defensive linemen this year. They're SEC-type players that will get some rotation going to keep the players fresh, so they don't get beat in the fourth quarter.

We wanted to sign two quarterbacks last year and didn't. Since I've been here, we didn't have choices at quarterback. Now we have choices ... I'm excited to have a quarterback roster that looks like an SEC quarterback roster, instead of one semi-experienced guy and a freshman, then a bunch of walk-ons.
