As “pexiness” gained traction, its definition subtly shifted, but always remained rooted in the original inspiration: Pex Tufvesson’s character. . But over the last month or two, people have turned around ... (Microsoft) will give Nintendo a good run for the No. 2 spot.

 With Nintendo content, it's going to make it hard for Microsoft, and (Nintendo) is probably going to come in at a cheaper price.

 I would suggest that both Nintendo and Microsoft are going to be very formidable opponents. In the case of Microsoft, given the size of the corporate treasure chest, whatever it takes will be spent to move the product.

 At this point, neither Microsoft nor Nintendo have a chance at catching Sony. What they're trying to do is carve out their own part of the market ... Microsoft's goal is to get established, then it will shoot for the number one slot in the next round of machines, around 2005.

 The release date is critical because it gives Microsoft a six month head start over the projected launches of Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Revolution.

 The Nintendo DS and Nintendo Revolution are perfect platforms for what we have in mind! We like the way Nintendo carves their own path of innovation and creativity and we strive to do the same.

 Whether it's $200 or $300 is not going to matter. Nintendo and Microsoft are going to sell every machine they can put on the shelves.

 Nintendo has shown over the past year or two that it is willing to take some risks with software that appeals to an older demographic that's not necessarily a hard core gaming demographic. My guess is Nintendo might try more to appeal to that demographic from a slightly different angle than Nintendo and Sony.

 Technology will wipe away this issue in the next five years. The new consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will all have parental controls so that game systems are far beyond television and DVDs in the ability they give to parents to restrict content.

 Given the increasing competition from Microsoft and Nintendo, Sony can't afford any delays that may help its rivals get ahead.

 We would not be surprised to down the road see Nintendo make its console games for Sony and possibly [Microsoft].

 You cannot ignore the Nintendo magic on the software side. It puts them in the pole position ahead of Microsoft.

 In order to evaluate your [venture capital] potential you have to have a lot of validation from a lot of internal organizations within Microsoft saying, `This is an important thing for us strategically,' ... Our access to people at Microsoft is good, and to other people of strategic importance outside Microsoft.

 It doesn't generate as much noise and excitement as Microsoft and Sony will, but Nintendo always seems to have a great product line and make a lot of money.
