 We talked all week about playing fundamentally sound. When you do that, it's hard for teams to make extended runs and come back on you.

 I think many of the other tech stocks have begun to [benefit]. Fundamentally, since the market is moving away from desktop computing, a lot of the stocks, a lot of the companies have begun already to benefit fundamentally. But the market seems still to be tied to Microsoft as a stock, and slowly but surely I think we're going to unplug, detach from that, and technology stocks will be looked at independently. Microsoft will slowly lose its status as bellwether of technology.

 The thing we talked about all week was playing fundamentally sound. If you do that, it's hard for a team to get a run. Runs normally happen when somebody breaks down, and I didn't think we had any huge breakdowns.

 Because bank stocks are more of a value stock, managers won't care that they're going up for a week or two. It's more important for them that after taking a breather, valuations look more attractive.

 Once the Russell 2000 starts to move because it is fundamentally more attractive, you'll see a lot of money chasing limited market capitalization stocks. You can get a very significant move in the Russell 2000 in a very short time and I would anticipate that happening starting very soon.

 This should preclude valuations from retesting previous troughs of this year, making the stocks very attractive following the pullback of the past week.

 Stocks now become more attractive than bonds and companies will have easier and cheaper access to funds. Corporate valuations also become more attractive with the use of lower discount rates.

 Going into this week, there were a lot of expectations that the tech stocks would deliver good numbers. As those numbers come out it's not surprising that there would be some profit taking. It's a temporary phenomenon.

 Despite the surprise 1.3 million-barrel drop in DOE crude stocks for last week, inventories in the market remain near April 1999 highs.

 The market is now waiting for the U.S. government's oil stocks data. If there are any surprising declines in U.S petroleum stocks, crude futures will likely try to breach the $62 mark again.

 Auto stocks are up on expectation of good numbers, while IT stocks have again become attractive after recent falls.
