 Nobody seems to know yet how television is going to affect the radio, movies, love, housekeeping or the church, but it has definitely revived vaudeville.

 For the best part of 100 years, movies made stories about a certain view of love, and it shaped us all, whether we like it or not. Our lessons were about how to look at people of the other sex. How you kiss, what you say. We learned a lot about love from the movies. We've matured a bit, and we can see there's a lot more to love.

 I don't think this collection of films represent everything. We're not delivering a shared point of view. These movies are all so different from each other. We all look at a movie through a prism of everything our parents and teachers taught us and what our children are telling us. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. You can't make a movie expecting everyone will have the same reaction. Ten people seeing 'Munich' will come out with 10 different points of view. It was always that way, sitting around the Passover table talking about the Middle East.

 I don't think that anybody like me can really understand, even have an inkling, of what's going on in the criminal justice system, the people caught up in it, without seeing it in person. I spoke of the magistrates' courts in South Africa, but I've been down in the basement of 100 Centre Street and saw black people put in cages like animals in the United States, in the world's capital of culture, show biz and beauty, like New York City.

 Right now, when you look around and listen to radio and watch television, hip-hop is taking over. Clothes, underwear, there is so much going on. Hip-hop is taking over.

 I've done a lot of movies other than Ghost. It's amazing. I get sick of it. I mean, I'm grateful for it. But I think it's one of those movies that struck a chord in the consciousness of people and they watch it over and over again. It's weird - I haven't seen the movie in 10 years!

 I never thought I'd see the day when there are no radio broadcasts out of Hollywood. This is a company town — movies, television and radio.

 More people play video games than watch movies, read books, listen to music and watch TV combined. We're doing everything we can to have the industry come of age.

 It's so important for people to see aspects of the United States that are not those that are represented in our popular culture, which is what they see. They have a distorted view of the United States, and it's kind of embarrassing. They think we all have 15 cars and live in big mansions.

 Football games are on TV, and it doesn't affect stadium attendance at all. It's the same with the movies. People who really love movies and like to go out on a Saturday night will go to the movie theater.
