 We all know there aren't too many people who want to work on the farm.

 We have a farm there. The farm is not maintained properly, because we don't have (enough) people. So we can hand it over to them as an open prison and they can work there and we can get vegetables.

 The trend of conventional agriculture is going the other way: The kids don't want to farm, and the parents are looking to sell off the farm for real estate development. But then you have this significant counter-movement of people giving up their keyboards to farm, professionals going back to the land, and younger people getting into organic farming.

 We are in the center of something here. We're singularly blessed because of our topography. That is not to say that there aren't other places where people farm well, eat seasonally and don't expect ... strawberries in December!

 Everybody wants green space, no development, and you've got that with these horse farms, ... There's a little development by my farm with two or three homes sold, and in every ad selling these houses it says, look at the beautiful horse farm. If it was a hog farm or chicken farm or dairy farm they wouldn't mention it. No one would want to live next to it.

 Of course people don’t want war. Why should a poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best thing he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?

 On my varsity lineup, I can't come up with anybody who either doesn't live on a farm or hasn't worked on a farm. They understand what hard work is and understand the sacrifice I am making to be there. When I come to wrestling (practice), I am there for one reason.

 Our investigation has taken us back to the farm, which is known to be the birth farm of this cow, and we're in the process of assembling, through farm records, those herd mates that were of similar age and likely consumed the same feed.

 We, the farmers, believe that if this problem was identified on another person's farm, not a minister's farm, as you speak to me now, nothing would have been done. Generally in Africa, governments think they are doing their people a favor to do anything for them. They only respond to what is affecting them personally.

 We do have 'Right to Farm' in McCook County though. At least it does give people moving here knowledge of the fact that they are in a farm community and subject to the sights, smells and noise common in an agricultural environment.

 People are still in shock, I guess, or just dazed at what happened. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. It's tough on people here because there aren't that many local places where people can find work.

 She's a farm girl, but doesn't fit in. She doesn't want to work on the farm; she'd rather write poetry and read. She wants to be a knight and fight dragons when she grows up, but she can't because she's a girl.

 That puts a spotlight on how thin margins are for farmers. Input costs keep increasing, especially for fuel and natural gas. Yet we have sub $2 (per bushel) corn prices. The $2 billion may be a daunting number, but it shows the farm program works in years of depressed farm prices. That's how it's designed to work.

 Most of the spread is what people do wrong. Moving chickens improperly from farm to farm, or moving chicken coops or feed trucks.
