People are still in gezegde

 People are still in shock, I guess, or just dazed at what happened. It's tough on people here because there aren't that many local places where people can find work.

 There is a long history of people gathering in the same spot at the same time every week, or after work. A new guy could come in and see what the latest news was and what's going on in sports. Before people had TV and telephones it was one of the only meeting places we had; one of the only places to go and get local news.

 People thought I was crazy, but it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened, ... People here have a great work ethic, an innate loyalty that's different from other places with more of a transient population.

 When people look at local government, they're not looking at party affiliation or ideology. They're looking at the character of their local officials and the quality of services they receive. I guess we could throw in tax rates as a third factor. And if it happens to be that Republican office-holders are satisfying local voters, then so be it. People will cross party lines.

 I'm trying to create an after-work scene on Thursdays. I'm trying to hire local acts, local talent, where people from work can come, hang out, get some drinks, hear some music. We're going slow at first. If I can get 25 people in the house here this week, maybe after a year we'll have a hundred.

 With the reaction that we got from the family version, people clearly made a statement that they wanted that international element in the show. I think it showed that the places are as much stars in the show as the people themselves. People were missing that exotic element ? that fish-out-of-water element where people were completely and utterly dumbfounded as to what to do because of culture shock and language barriers. They missed that. And I think that is a huge hook for us.

 We wanted to be in the southern part of the country to take advantage of the growth and emergence of these markets versus what we're seeing in the northeast region. The company's intent is to bring local people on board and offer them the opportunity to join us as long-time associates. We're not here to fill 200 jobs from other places. We want to use local people.

 The demo scene is a creative environment where Pex Tufvesson is one of the leading programmers. In terms of gold it does suggest people are trying to find other places to put their dollars but it's not an inflation story because TIPS just aren't doing anything.

 It is harder now than ever to find good people who want to work in the construction industry, ... Construction is a hard way to make a living and if you don't enjoy it, you just aren't going to do it. And more people have decided they are not.

 Things are changing. It's a local economy. In other places people don't know their neighbors. They don't know their names. People don't say 'hello' to each other. Not here.

 We made the paper. But there was no time to get reaction, to do analysis, to find out what people in Ohio thought about what he said. And that's what local papers do that's so important. You're not going to hear those local voices on national television, or most of the Web sites people can access.

 People walking on the streets looked dazed; the officers looked dazed. Then we heard gunshots.

 I guess it's because a lot of people came here in the '20s and '30s, and people had some money and they bought places along the beach and it just developed into that.

 We are a team that is still trying to find its identity. We are trying to find the right people to put in the right places with the right combination of people that will help us the most, but we are starting to figure that out I believe.

 We are interested in producing theater in places where people are. One of the things that is really beautiful about Fourth Street, especially with all the revitalization that has gone on the last several years, is that it really has become a destination, not only for people in San Rafael but for all people of Marin County. Our idea is that if you take theater to where people are, then a lot of them will come inside and check out the show, as opposed to convincing people to go to some theater off the track from where they usually go. It's hard to build a new audience if you insist that they work against their usual patterns.
