 It was actually very easy for me just in the sense that I got a slow roller. I saw Albert already running down the line. There actually was no decision; you had to go home.

 When you have first and third and the tying run is at third, you're definitely thinking that the run at third is the most important run and that you have to stop that. And virtually any play that you can make, you're going to make sure that you are going to get that run. ... It was actually very easy for me just in the sense that I got a slow roller, I saw Albert already running down the line. There actually was no decision; you had to go home.

 That was not hit hard, but it was no slow roller. I saw him charge and he made it look easy.

 We had a coach who was with Albert at every level Albert went. He was Albert's babysitter, for lack of a better word. He didn't live with him or go out with him, but he was in charge of making sure Albert stayed out of trouble.

 Sense is a line, the mind is a circle. Sense is like a line which is the flux of a point running out from itself, but intellect like a circle that keeps within itself.

 Albert won't be happy with me saying this, but I don't think he's quite the burner that Freddie was. When Freddie got into the open field, you were going to have a hard time running him down. Albert is the type of guy who's consistently reliable. Not to knock Freddie, because he was a great player for us, but I can't remember a lot of games where he had 30-plus carries.

 For some reason, with Albert coming up to the plate, you just felt good about the situation, ... You can sit there and end your season on saying, 'Hey, he got him out' or 'Albert came through.' Fortunately for us, Albert came through for us and it was, 'Hey, we knew the game wasn't over yet either.'

 (Wednesday) was definitely a roller-coaster day. It was a close game, and then they tied it up with Bobby's big home run. Then they come back and scored and put us down. Willy not giving up and running all the way through the base gave us a chance. That was a nice game right there.

 It's the equivalent of running a goal-line defense. It makes no sense at all.

 It's not an easy decision, obviously. But Heredia shouldn't be on the mound for me if I don't have confidence to do something like that. It's not an easy decision to make, but it was one I felt I had to and then just live with the results.

 She came through with a big hit when we got someone on base. The one hit on Katie was a slow roller, almost like a swinging bunt.

 I suspect the prospect of running another difficult campaign coupled with the embarrassment of the reprimand made this, if not an easy, an understandable decision. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

 He looked outstanding. One ball was smoked and he made it look like a slow roller.

 Very smooth. His range is not as good as it once was, but you saw him charging in on a slow roller and making it look very, very simple.
