 The resolution passed by the IAEA board of governors on 24 September makes clear the depth of international concern at Iran's decision. It remains to be seen how Iran will respond. Iran has an opportunity now to come into line with requests made by the IAEA board; we hope it would choose that constructive path.

 Recall also that the Iranian parliament also voted to kick out IAEA inspectors in the event of referral of Iran to the Security Council. Perhaps that is now to be the next step for the regime in its reckless pursuit of direct confrontation with Europe and the United States and its defiance of the international community at large.

 We're concerned that Iran's activities pose an increasing threat to international peace and security. Iran's pattern of deception, its concealment, its confrontational approach, increasingly worries the world community.

 He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. The leadership in Tehran has thus far chosen a course of flagrant threats and phony negotiation. They hope that this course would keep the international community divided and [Iran's] nuclear ambitions unchecked. Instead the course they have chosen has left them increasingly isolated and increasingly at risk of meaningful consequences.

 We believe it's important that the regime be held to account for its continued defiance of the international community.

 If you impose sanctions theoretically on Iran, then it would be appropriate to ask a question: Who is imposing sanctions on whom, the international community on Iran or, rather, Iran on the international community?

 This bombastic announcement is open defiance of what the international community is asking from Iran.

 The regime in Iran continues to make provocative statements and take provocative actions that only further isolate it from the rest of the international community.

 Iran's defiance of the international ban on executing child offenders is a growing concern and calls into question its willingness to abide by international human rights standards,

 Why are the Iranians pushing so aggressively instead of biding their time, like North Korea did? The obvious answer is that Iran is in a far stronger position. Iran can respond in ways that can be very painful to the international community. Iran has leverage.
