en Megan Chart shadowed Higgins the whole game. She's their leading scorer and except for the third quarter, when nobody played defense, Megan kept her down.

en What's set Megan apart this year has been that she used to be known as a 3-point shooter. Now she's known for so much more. She can rebound, defend our team's best player, drive to the basket well, lead our defensive trap. Overall game, I just don't see anybody around here better than her.

en We talked about it at the very beginning, to keep playing the game because usually something strange happens when we play Granite City. They get the big lead, then we get a big lead and they come back . . . The bottom line is that we didn't make the plays we needed to win the game.

en She played a solid game for us. She was solid on defense. She just was steady for us. That's all we ask of Megan. Megan does that for us.

en The bottom line is that when it was a close game, we could zone them and we were doing a good job of containing their dribble-penetration. It was (a six-point Reynoldsburg lead) at the half and then they immediately jumped out to a double-digit lead and we had to go man. When we had to go man, that's when Washington and Clanton showed their experience. We just didn't have an answer for them. Most teams don't.

en We got back in the game and kind of ran out of gas. We didn't keep pushing. Once we cut the lead we kind of relaxed.
