It was a funny gezegde

 It was a funny kind of game. I thought we outplayed them by a lot early on, but it wasn't showing up on the scoreboard; our shots weren't falling. Still, we had a good lead at the half, a lead we gave away in the third.

 In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

 Layton's always kind of been the barometer of where we're at as a team. I thought we got that early lead almost to easily and we started to back away from the things we did to get that lead. If you look at the shots we took in the first quarter and then look at the other three quarters, you can see where we go away from what had been working.

 That second one we had a hand right in his face. They stretched the lead to six or seven and then we were taking bad shots. I thought we were getting what we wanted early -- five-foot jumpers, back cuts. But once the lead got away, we started to take bad shots.

 I thought we looked very sharp and started the game very quickly. We did a good job of forcing the issue and creating opportunities and we found ourselves up by three goals early. If I had to say there was one thing I feel we need to learn from this match, it is how to play with a lead. We weren't as sharp in the second half and didn't quite force our flow to the game.

 I thought we played fairly well in the first half. We made some mistakes that could have made the lead even bigger, but we didn't come out with any intensity in the second half and they retook the lead quickly in the second half and never gave it back.

 I thought the first half defense was very good. I wish we could have scored some points there to get a lead. We missed our first 10 shots to start the game, we had good shots that we have to be able to make. We didn't make them and kept them in the game.

 We got off to a good start and built a good lead by halftime. (PR-B) wasn't hitting its shots in the first half, but they shot well late in the game to get back into it.

 They probably could have extended that lead a little bit. We got our kids settled down and told them to take good shots. We weren't rebounding well early. We were probably a little afraid early, a little scared.

 It was nice to get the lead. We play pretty good when we get the lead. That's our game -- get the early lead. Sometimes it's tough.

 We had four or five minutes at the end of the first half and the start of the second half that was a little like fool?s gold. It gave us a lead, but that?s not the way the game was going to be played. They (Boston College) weren't going to quit.

 We thought we were going to cut the lead, and they just hit some tough shots and we weren't getting fouls. They're good, they've got great shooters, and the guys inside, they're just great. Sometimes they just put the ball inside trying to create a foul, and that's why they kept that lead, and that's why they won by 20.

 If we want to contend for a championship, we have to make foul shots early. We can?t give up a big lead because we?re missing shots. I mean, they gave us opportunity.  We're not good enough to have unforced turnovers. I don't even know how to describe us early on. [Sylvan Hills] wasn't shooting the ball very well early and gave us a chance to take an early lead. But we just didn't take advantage of it.
