 We no longer have huge wars with huge armies, major engagements, heavy conventional weapons, most of today's wars are low-intensity wars fought with light weapons, small arms, often in very poor countries, they are extremely brutal but they don't kill that many people.

 Is it any wonder that those who attack us feel they have a license to do so? A license to kill? Police won't investigate. Juries won't convict. The public still thinks our lives are a political issue, defined by the mythic "Gay Agenda."

 It's part of our conventional weapons inventory. We use it like we use any other conventional weapon.

 The government is fully in charge of what happens, ... It ought to withdraw the execution date ... Its hands are not tied by anything Tim McVeigh wishes. He cannot make them kill him.

 It's a package (of nuclear and conventional weapons). The implication of this obviously is that nuclear weapons are being brought down from a special category of being a last resort, or sort of the ultimate weapon, to being just another tool in the toolbox.

 An angry young man who sets out to kill a cop, or anybody else, ought to be locked up for the rest of his life. To say, gee, if you're mentally ill you can be forgiven for murdering somebody, you're giving a license to kill to millions of people.

 This deal permits India to do much more than continue producing fissile material for weapons. It allows India to vastly increase its nuclear arsenal.
