en I thought it was their best effort of the year. They were playing very well. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

en It's fun to win and you play to win. Amazingly, when I went to spring training, the thought was to win it all. The thought has always been to win it all. So far, we've continued to win. We've won all year. But there was no thought of playing .500 or being competitive. The only thought was winning it all. It's fun.

en I thought I was going to be down for the rest of the year, ... I really did. And maybe come up for September. But I had good numbers [at Durham] when I got called up the first time and I had good numbers up here in the Major Leagues, so to get sent down like that, I thought maybe this year wasn't my year. They had plans and other things going on. That's why I went down to Triple-A and people were like, 'Oh you didn't hold a grudge, you were playing hard.' And I just thought that's where my season was going to end.

en Last year, we didn't have a whole lot of leadership from the seniors. I thought this year there's been a huge difference all the way through. We weren't playing very good basketball early in the year, and then throughout February into March we've been playing really, really solid basketball.

en I thought it was a great effort. Tyson was a big lift. I thought maybe that he had his best game of the year.

en We're trying to establish the way we're going to play football at Mill Creek. And I just think across the board, we're just playing more physical and harder this year ... we are playing with great effort right now.

en That's what we're trying to tell them (that they're are playing very hard). They're freshmen and sophomores playing against juniors and seniors. I do think the effort is there and they are coming along. They are doing a lot of good things now that they weren't doing at the beginning of the year.

en I thought it was a great conference win, ... I felt like we got contributions from everyone. I thought Kristi Pipkin passed the best she has all year tonight. I thought the girls rebounded from the last two games by playing up to their potential.

en I thought our effort, when the chips were down, was 10 times better this year than last year. In the end, they made a few more plays than we did.

en It's going to take heart and desire. But both referees told me after last game how well they thought we were playing good. They said they haven't seen a team this year that played together that well. Of course it's early in the year, but they're playing good.

en It was fun and I thought it was a great effort by our kids. We battled to the end. I'm encouraged by the way we've been playing since Christmas.
