As a team, we want to get back on top. We won indoor, but we lost the outdoor championship by just two points, so I think we are looking to regain our title.

I think, for both teams, we want move up in the rankings a little bit over where we were last year and where we were indoors. I think we usually consider ourselves a better outdoor team than indoor team, especially with some of the events that are added into the program on the outdoor track.

I have a lot to accomplish here still. I've got the indoor 400-meter championship under my belt, and I want to get the 200 championship under my belt. And I want to get some outdoor championships, the 200 or the 400, or maybe both. And I want to try to get the most All-American titles in school history.

[Team APEX Racing USA's championship hopes took a hit at Birmingham, but Hunt says don't count out this team of series newcomers yet.] We're by far the top rookie team in the series, ... We've surprised a lot of people with our performance this season, and we still have a shot at the team title mathematically. Robert is just 21 points back in the driver standings, so with four rounds remaining a lot could happen.

That turn of events, with the points that we got from that and the momentum, set up what we would do. To win a title like this, a team has to come together. And that started with him. A 103-pound young man pinned a guy he had lost to, 17-0, back in December.

Our temperament, our training and our preparation are set up to go through the indoor season to the outdoor season. It shows up when we go outside. The general makeup of our team is geared toward the outdoor season.

We lost outdoor by a point last year, but scored more points than we were supposed to. The team performed very, very well. It just wasn't enough.

Now we will take a little bit of a break. We have about four weeks before our first outdoor meet. Some of the events will be different and the track will be different so we need to switch focus from indoor to outdoor.

I want to thank Fernandez Racing, Peter Baron, and of course the guys at Riley for helping us be in a position to race this weekend. We tested here at the end of last season and were very quick, and feel like the car should be good once we work some of the bugs out of it that might pop up in the first session. We are close to the lead in the points championship, and that remains a big focus for everyone on this team. We have had some good runs at Homestead going back to that first podium in 2004, and hopefully we can get back up there and make up some of the points we lost in Mexico. This is huge. I feel like we haven't lost momentum after the national championship, we've gained it. The Texas Relays are a great chance for us to judge where we are as a team. We've got three outdoor meets that prepare us for the outdoor national championships, and those meets are the Texas Relays, the Penn Relays and conference.

We're not an outdoor team, obviously; we're an indoor team. Up here in the Northeast, we're a little more subdued. I wanted them to see an atmosphere that's loud, kind of like a basketball arena. Everybody is shouting and yelling and screaming, which the team isn't used to.

It is simple for me: I am aiming for the world championship. This is a team that is defending the world title and working hard to win it again, so I am looking forward to a great season. There will be a good rivalry with Fernando. And from my point of view, I want to score points, win races and be in the fight for the championship.

Outside tennis is really good for our team. I think we're a better outdoor team than an indoor team.

We did a tremendous job today. Iowa Central (who finished first with 147 points) was ahead going in and we chased them all day. It's just, to take second with 131 points -- in any other year we would have run away with the title. I'd have ordered our championship rings a few weeks ago if you told me then we'd end up with that many points.

(A conference title) would have to be one of the bright points considering everything we lost from last year's team.
