It's hard to come gezegde

 It's hard to come down to the last three minutes and you kind of explode as a defense.

 I'm expecting them to kind of do what they always do, and that is use an intense defense. It's just a very aggressive man-to-man defense. It's closely guarded, and they don't back off you. They play extremely hard for all 32 minutes.

 My hip is coming along. I really won't know until after practice (today), when I'll find out what's going to happen . . . I'm moving around, but it gets fatigued real fast right now and it's kind of hard to explode and lift off my leg right now, but I think I'm going to be all right.

 It's kind of like being the first born now. The last four years, the defense was the first born. If we'd get out of a meeting 10 minutes early, the defense was going to know about it before us. All the little things, the defense knew first. Hopefully now with an offensive-minded coach, we get some of those extra advantages.  At first, it was just discomfort. Then as a few minutes passed, it became more than discomfort. It became very painful. There were several minutes where I thought my head was going to explode. It was just so intense. I became totally dizzy.

 It's definitely frustrating after a while. The games are so close, we kind of gave it away tonight. Up 12 with four minutes to go, play the last four minutes hard and you win.

 I'd rather make that walk when we won, ... It's kind of hard 2 minutes after the game's over and we lose. It takes a little while to take (a loss) off. It's kind of hard to walk around there with a smile on your face when you just lost, but you got to do it for the fans.

 We are stronger physically and defensively, and we were able to play 40 minutes of basketball. It is hard to play 40 perfect minutes of defense. We struggled in the first half, but that's the difference in the second: we don't panic.

 It's hard to find minutes on the field, ... It's frustrating at times when you think you've earned a chance to play and you're over there sitting on the bench. That's not the kind of player I am. I'm the kind of player who wants to be out there. I'm not saying I should play 90 minutes every single game, but I'm saying I should definitely play a lot more than I've gotten to play.

 The first half was kind of loose, more of an offensive game. In the third quarter defensively for the first eight to nine minutes we made it kind of hard for them.

 Playing 40 minutes of defense was the absolute key. We thought last week that we played about 20 minutes of solid defense, and we lost our defensive intensity in the second half.

 We did a lot of good things tonight with the exception of four or five minutes with our defense breaking down. Other than that we had 40 plus minutes of pretty solid defense. We moved the ball well. We got a lot of open looks.

 If guys don't step up and play well, that would make it tough on our defense. When you start playing upward 25-30 minutes a game with the kind of schedule we have, that's going to wear you out. It's a key for these guys to come up and play big minutes.

 We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

 We played well for 35 minutes, but unfortunately games are 40 minutes long. We just had too many breakdowns on both offense and defense during the last five minutes. We have to give Southern credit though. They are much improved from last year.
