 We weren't surprised that they were a well-coached team and skilled. Certainly in the first half, especially the first 20 minutes, we were awestruck.

 In the first half, they kind of played into what we were trying to do. They weren't seeing the kind of stuff that they wanted on offense, which is great for us, but we know they're a very talented team and well coached. Coming out in the second half, we knew it was going to be different.

 I was surprised at how skilled their defensemen were, and we weren't ready for that offense.

 They weren't shooting particularly well, we were playing great 'D', however you want to say it, I was very surprised at the first half. I knew (Mansfield) had a lot more going and a lot more in them. I prepared them for the second half -- you are never really prepared -- but (Mansfield) fought hard. They are an excellent team.

 When you're playing someone that's not quite as skilled and well-coached as New Albany, you can make mistakes. When you play a team this good, you can't.

 You guys asked me before if he was awestruck with the Yankees, and I tried to downplay that. I don't know he was awestruck, but he was terribly excited. He was flying open. Bad. He couldn't find command of his pitches.

 They're a good basketball team. They're a well-coached basketball team. They're not just a tall basketball team. Those kids have skill, they make plays. You don't win 20-something games and not be as skilled as they are.

 Overall it was a pretty streaky game. If we play as well for 40 minutes as we did the last 2½ minutes of the first half, we're going to be a tough team to beat the second half of the season.

 We weren't overly surprised with their defense. They're a good team. It wasn't so much that we were surprised with them, it's just that they were an unknown.

 We had a strong first 10 minutes and the rest of the first half was very ordinary. Mentally and physically we just weren't there, and we only had ourselves to blame for that. The second half was better but the bird had flown by then. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him.

 I was shocked we weren't in the game with three or four minutes to go. I'm surprised we didn't play well.

 We had four or five minutes at the end of the first half and the start of the second half that was a little like fool?s gold. It gave us a lead, but that?s not the way the game was going to be played. They (Boston College) weren't going to quit.

 The last three minutes of the first half we didn't do a good job, and I guess we're not used to it, and we're a little further away from the court than we're used to. It was a few things they weren't picking up on, plus Manteo is a good team, too, but I think they fought hard, and I'm proud of them.

 We had good coaches who coached us well and made us play as a team even though we weren't really a team.

 We just played terrible in the first half. Davis had a great first half and we were just horrible. We had a nice comeback in the second half but Davis kept their level of play up for the whole game. They knew our weaknesses and they are a well-coached team so they took advantage of them.
