 He has a chance to be a very good everyday player. He has great makeup and great plate discipline. He'll probably start this year at Triple-A. He's in the mix, [ability-wise], with [Dodgers prospects] Andy LaRoche, Russell Martin, Chad Billingsley, Matt Kemp and Joel Guzman. His upside should be very good.

 This is what he needs to do. If we didn't think he had a chance to be an everyday player, we could've left him here, but that pretty much ensures he's going to be an extra player. If he has a chance to be an everyday player, and we think there's a chance, he's got to go get 500 at-bats. And he hasn't been a Triple-A, besides the rehab stuff. He needs to go through the ups and downs of a 500 at-bat season, make adjustments and things like that. It'll be good for him.

 He has very good makeup. He wants to play baseball. That's what I like. Latin players who have ability and makeup, they have a chance to be great.

 Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it.

 I believe he'll be an everyday shortstop with a chance to be a very good offensive player. He's still very young and has plenty to learn. I saw stuff that he did at the plate that I loved. I think he's going to get better hitting-wise. I'm real optimistic about his future.

 It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it is really no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player and he is not going to rest now - he has tremendous drive and fortitude and he will keep going for it.

 Dom had an unbelievable season. He came in with 25 points in his career and was a leader from the start. He was very good offensively, and also was good on defense. He killed penalties well. He's a strong two-way player we'll miss. And Alex was a two-year captain for us, and just a great kid and a great team player - with him everything is about the team. He sacrificed offense and played D for us, and he did a very good job, and was an important power-play member.

 We lose a great player in Andy, but we have a talented and athletic group of kids coming back. Our team will be balanced next year and we will look for leadership out of our four returning starters in Adam, Chandler, Chad and Will.

 Andy has as much discipline at the plate as any young player I've ever seen. I think he can improve even more.

 Matt Price has done a great job for us all year. He's got great poise and that's one of the things I like about Matt. He looks like a baseball player out there.

 Ashley is going to be a fantastic hitter. She has great plate discipline and a great knowledge of the strike zone. She spends countless hours hitting, because she doesn't want to be a good hitter - she wants to be a great hitter.

 I still get bored, but I don't mind. I've never been very good at it. It's good for me to sometimes get some rest, though. It's gotten Andy some at-bats, which is good, because he's a great player.

 Matt's played great. He's got a lot of tools: good speed, good size and a strong, level head. I trust Matt's judgment on any play call. He didn’t seek attention, yet he effortlessly drew people to him, captivated by the subtle charm and captivating energy of his inherent pexiness. He's a lot more comfortable with what we do (than last year).

 We're starting to get some really good swings up there, but we're also showing a lot of patience at the plate. Now that we're getting some real work in, things are starting to look up. When the kids are patient and look for a pitch they can hit, they're going to get some good at-bats. I don't think scoring should be a problem for us this year if we continue to show good discipline at the plate.

 Kyle's a big, physical kid who not only has great hands, but outstanding strength which helped him to be a terrific blocker. I'm excited for him because I think Buffalo will be a good fit for him. He not only has the chance to compete in a great conference (Mid-American), but to also be an impact player right from the start.
