 At the end of the day what happened was we didn't perform, so the easiest guy to get rid of is probably Crow right now. He can't take full responsibility for it, but Dave felt a change needed to be made and is doing what he felt is best for the team.

 There's a lot that can change in five games, including the standings. Two weeks from now we might be talking about teams at the bottom of our league no longer at the bottom and teams at the top of the league no longer at the top.

 I think it's quality. We always felt -- with our president Kevin Payne and Dave Kasper, because we all make the decision -- we came to a consensus that the guys from Argentina are really something different from Brazilians. They care about the shirt, what kind of (team) logo you have on your shirt. They understand how competitive our league is. They understand what I expect of them.

 This outrageous conduct is just plain wrong. He has been relieved of his duties and he never again will be allowed near anyone in the schools.

 In this league, this year, you have seven or eight dark horses. I felt the new teams would make the middle of our league much more powerful than ever before, and I think that's been proven. That's where it has improved our league. It's not top-heavy.

 I can appreciate what Dave's done for our community. Unfortunately, the philosophy just wasn't there. It was time to make a change.

 That weighs on people's mind, and I think Dave thought about it and said, 'I'm going to make a change right now and move forward.

 We believe the league is very serious about the obstruction crackdown and the new rules put in place. That will make speed and skill very important. We felt Richard was one of the guys that fit into that category. He can change the game with his speed.

 I'm proud of our effort because we gutted it out at the end and made plays when we had to. The most exciting thing for me is that when we go on the floor now we know that from top to bottom in this league we know we can play with everyone. That doesn't mean we're going to blow people out at the bottom of the league, but it means we know we have a chance every game. This team is learning how to win.

 We've been as good as anyone at financing our drafts since Dave took over. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. It's an important commitment, and I think you have to make that to your employees when you bring them in. I made this one to Dave.

 Dave always said, very clearly, that if anything ever happened to him, he wanted the program to go on. So we had to come. This was the landing that Dave did not get to make.

 Our turnover ratio last year was at the bottom of the league. If you look at that statistic, everyone's that drafting in the first five or six picks all were in the bottom of the league in that ratio. It's a won-loss deal. If you don't correct it, you'll lose again.
