 He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. It was just a matter of finally putting a complete round together, ... I have had good rounds in the past where it's one hole here and one hole there.

 This match gives us something to shoot for. We should be strong up top and good down below. It's a matter of putting it all together.

 No matter how the qualification rounds work out, it's interesting how close the matches get in the elimination rounds. They all seem to come right down to the wire and every match means a lot.

 We still need to work on putting three good rounds together. We played really good the first round; the second was bad, and the third wasn't that good. We need three consistent rounds.

 The biggest thing she has improved in is her shot selection. Before she would catch it and, boom, she'd shoot it ... no matter where she was on the floor. In the past four games she's gotten better with that. She's taking better shots, putting them in and, as a result, getting more confidence.

 The second place finish at the Cal Poly Invitational was a confidence builder for the team. What we learned during the fall is that we've got to be mentally tougher. Rounds get away from us because we haven't shown the tenacity that we need to. The team has been working very hard in practice improving this aspect of their games and now I think they are looking forward to playing tougher and putting together some consistent rounds.

 It wasn't difficult for me to shoot 67. It was probably one of my better rounds here.

 I have more power in the later rounds. People used to say I have no endurance; that I was only strong for three or four rounds. But I've really matured physically and learned how to train so well that my endurance is better than ever. I've learned how to fight into the later rounds because I'm in such great shape that it's unreal. I used to be afraid a fight would go into the later rounds, now I welcome it.

 If you shoot even par with it firm and fast like it was in practice rounds last year, you'd win.

 I've got two more rounds of treatment that I had been mentally putting off. But now I know I can go in and knock them off.

 We know what needs to be done. This is just a matter of political will. It's a matter of putting aside ideologies and looking at what the needs are and then crafting a strategy for addressing those needs. This is a matter of leadership.

 He has a good chance to reach states. I think he has to shoot his average to make it. Two rounds of 74 should do it.

 I'd like to find an energizer pill to get us going before the first rounds because we need to shoot better early on, but I thought we had a lot of consistency at the end.
